Guest jester Report post Posted March 13, 2003 The Rott and Bone Cold live on... WWE's lawsuit against Big Dog Holdings was thrown out this week. WWE had filed suit against the company, claiming that they used trademarked property without permission or without paying license fees. Big Dog had created shirts with phrases such as "The Rott" (based on The Rock) and "Bone Cold" (based on Stone Cold). U.S. District Judge David Cercone ruled that the t-shirts were protected under the first amendment and threw the case out. WWE's lawyer, Jerry McDevitt, stated the following: "Big Dog says it's a parody but it is not. They use these stupid dogs incorporating intellectual property for profit and they don't pay license fees that other people are required to pay."
