Guest phoenixrising Report post Posted March 14, 2003 Do y'all think that if they used all this backstage stuff on TV it would help the ratings ? Sure. It would make a great reality show with all the backstabbing, positioning, intrigue and what not.
Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted March 14, 2003 Oh fuck it. This just means he's the next one to go. I can't take much more of this, when Big fucking Show is actually one of a handful of people in WWE still enjoy watching maybe I shouldn't bother. Still, if TNA continues to sign everyone they let slip I'm right behind them.
Guest Crucifixio Jones Report post Posted March 14, 2003 Dreamer: How about HHH puts ov- HHH: NO. Steph: NO. Vince: OUT. (Blame Dames - he's the one who suggested the HHH/Dreamer connection) And just like that, RavishingRickRudo is my new favorite poster.
Guest humongous2002 Report post Posted March 14, 2003 As soon as Dreamer mentioned RVD and big push on the same sentence he got taken off the writing team.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted March 14, 2003 Bah, I'd like to see good things happen to Dreamer, his unselfishness in ECW got Raven, The Dudleys, and Justin Credible way over and pretty much got them their jobs elsewhere. They couldn't have jumped ship if Tommy didn't get them over.
Guest geniusMoment Report post Posted March 14, 2003 Raven got himself and Dreamer over, he was the one who carried that feud. Foley even admitted it in his book.
Guest Polish_Rifle Report post Posted March 15, 2003 I'm surprised they mentioned this on Byte This today. Dreamer was co-hosting the show and they were talking about how he had a chance to see the creative process and that the stint was now over.

Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted March 15, 2003 This seems odd that Dreamer was removed for asking "logical questions" because someone a few days ago, posted a thread here about McMahon telling the writers to have the wrestlers act more realistic,(ala, wrestlers NOT calling their moves out before they do them), which seemed like something Dreamer was striving for. It just doesn't make any sense, but hey, this is WWE
Guest teke184 Report post Posted March 15, 2003 If it takes a million monkeys with a million typewriters working for a million years to recreate the works of Shakespeare, I'm guessing the WWE's writing would take 3 monkeys 5 minutes... Which is more time than the REAL writers spend on the show.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted March 15, 2003 Dreamer did more for the angle by being unselfish and putting Raven over for 2 years. Dreamer didn't pin Raven till his very last day in the company. That's why I credit Tommy more.
Guest Zero_Cool Report post Posted March 15, 2003 It still really makes no sense how Dreamer has been a professional wrestling for what, ten years? He has been in some matches we have never heard until seeing them. He should have a mind for the business, and is unselfish. I guess he doesn't write WWE Style. Guest saturnmark4life Report post Posted March 15, 2003 The raw writing team are a bunch of clueless fuckups who know they can get away without doing any work and letting HHH do what he likes behind the back of a stupid old man. That's why they work for WWE IMO, they see it as a joke and easy money for failed soap writers such as themselves. This means they take offence when someone points out they have no idea what they are actually doing, and if Tommy is still in WWE in the next 2 months I will be pleasantly surprised. Guest Si82 Report post Posted March 15, 2003 Tommy Dreamer has been dropped off the WWE writing committee already. The word is because he asked too many logical questions in meetings and thus it was determined he didn't understand the wrestling business. In other words, he was saying things the writing committee didn't want to hear about gaps in logic in their storytelling... Credit - Wade Keller. In order not to upset the more easily irritated board members, I will now add my own opinion. If the writing committee get this offended when someone points out their flaws, then they'll never get anywhere. Vince needs new writers. Tommy Dreamer was dropped for trying to make sense of the WWE storylines. Well this company is fucked.
Guest subliminal_animal Report post Posted March 16, 2003 Raven got himself and Dreamer over, he was the one who carried that feud. Foley even admitted it in his book. Huh? Is it something he didn't want to admit or something? It still really makes no sense how Dreamer has been a professional wrestling for what, ten years? He has been in some matches we have never heard until seeing them. Maybe it's me, but that second sentence made no sense at all beyond the fact that those were words. You know, if I was Tommy Dreamer, I would be pretty offended by the "didn't know anything about the wrestling business" thing? He's wrestled for about a decade. To have guys who are reportedly just taking this as another paycheck, who learned about what they're doing only as soon as they started getting that paycheck, tell you something like that? That's fucking slapping you in the face and spitting in your eye.
