But signing a decent but unspectacular safety who had one great game, an unproven back up QB and possibly a washed up Emmit Smith isn't going to do you any better then a 7-9 record. Thoughts about these deals?

He'll probably just retire when his contract is up. Too bad Arizona will cut him first. As for Emmitt, he still thinks he should start. Arizona is probably the only team in the league that will let him start. It's a natural fit, though a decidedly crappy one.

You now have an opportunity for financial security, so why not take advantage of it? Still, going from the Super Bowl champs to a constantly mismanaged team is probably not the route that I'd take.
