Promo: Reflections and Expectations

All my life, every day I breathe, nobody expects anything out of me. Nobody cared when I was failing out of school, or getting beaten in gang fights. Sure, my mother showed sympathy, but that’s her role as a mother. My father could give less of a shit, long as it meant I could still hook him up with booze… and my brother. Well, my brother just always warned me to never go down the path he did. He actually tried to threaten the other gangs to not go after me when he died, something nobody ever did. While I was being cuddled by my mother… her empty promises… I just knew that something was going on. I remember the day so vividly, so fresh in my mind. I was at school, my own two feet forcefully dragging me class to class. Ah, how much being 14 sucked. I heard word from a friend that our, well my brother’s, gang was taking on the Bloodhawks. I felt like it was mandatory to be there, I was naïve enough to have visions of charging in and taking out the whole fucking posse just to save my brother. Ignorance is bliss. The reflections of a madman prove to be very in-depth. Because smack down in his hometown, his old, abandoned (date set to be demolished) home sits the Insane Luchador in silence. A candlestick provides very little light, perhaps enough for Andrew Rickmen to stare at his old, decayed room walls. His warped mind slowly brings a painful memory into his sight.

---

(“Come on Rickmen, we’re gonna’ be late!” A very familiar, younger voice called. Andrew Rickmen slowly followed through the darkness, approaching the chain-link fence that stands between them, the basketball court, and the inevitable gang fights. Andrew pressed his face against the chain-linked fence, and he glanced over at the excited, soon to become Midget. Rickmen stared forward at the dimly lit basketball court, where sudden members began to walk towards the center. As if a scene from a bad movie the light shines over his brother, the leader, and a few others. All had either a chain or knife with them, while the other gang remained shady).

“Final chance to back down.” A voice warned.

“No way, Matthews, we’re here to finish this saga up.” Someone retorted back.

”Fine, you’ve just sealed your fate.”

IL watched his brother take a brave step forward, “No Rex, you just sealed yours.” Andrew grinned, rooting for his brother silently. But the next sight will always hunt him until the day he passes on.

Rex Matthews lunged forward, driving a knife into Andrew’s brother’s arm. The fight was on. Everyone surged forward and Midget yelped, gagging as he suddenly heard the disturbing sounds of metal searing flesh. Inhumane screams are heard, while Andrew is riveted with terror, watching his brother swing wildly with a punch and his knife towards his foe. Men roll on the ground, others writher, dying on the concrete. Either way the moonlight shines very clearly on the crimson blood, and Andrew Rickmen begins to tear up as he watches the knife jab into his brother’s shoulder.

“What’cha’ got Rickmen? Huh? You fucking punk, you thought you could fuck with us? Huh? Thought you could protect your family and be a hero?” Rex jeered, as Andrew’s older brother threw a hard kick to the foe’s kneecap. Rex staggered a step forward and IL’s brother violently slashed him across his chest, barely hazing Rex’s skin. But then the rest of Rickmen’s gang left, they ran for their lives… dragging the few men they can save. The other gang gives triumphant calls while Andrew Rickmen’s face now bore imprints from his face pressing so hard.

“Oh, Jesus, no…” Andrew whispered, watching the Bloodhawks circle around his brother.

“Any last words, fucker?” Rex spat at IL’s brother.

With all the honor a dying man can muster and all the strength, he looked right into his rival’s eyes. And raises up his right arm, not for mercy- but to flip him off.

“Your dead now!” Rex screamed, angry while the gang all lunged in with their weapons.

Andrew watched the whole scene as if it was in slow motion, watching his own family member’s blood and flesh fly and splatter. His body withered and shook, IL’s brother suddenly went limp and the gang members slowly stopped. A completely blooded, crippled, train wreck of former human being just laying in the moonlight.

“YYYYYOOOUUU MOTHER FUCKERS!” Andrew Rickmen screamed, getting everyone to turn their heads towards the two teenagers. Midget suddenly swore, and he grabbed IL’s shirt, trying to tug him away. Rickmen resisted and began to scale the chain fence, much to the amusement of the Bloodhawks. Rex nodded to the other gang members and slowly stalked forward, bloodied switchblade out. Matthews picked up speed and then threw a violent kick that shook the unstable fence, causing Andrew to fall onto his back. Rickmen looked up at the cold eyes that stared into his, his brother’s murder.

“You mean that he spent all his time and energy to protect you?” Rex jeered, as he purposely wiped the blood off slowly from the lethal blade.

“I… will… kill… you…” Andrew wheezes, the wind taken out of him.

Matthews laughed. “I’m so sure you will, I’ll look forward to meeting you that day.” Rex turned on his heels and walked back towards his fellow “family.”

---

But I did kill Rex Matthew; I did finish up what my brother had started. With every stab that Rex gave- he sealed his fate. But now, ah…. Now the SJL was sealed its fate. Obviously I must return and finish up my business, end my legacy that still hangs like a rancid odor. I am the Next Coming, I am the next Legend. With that Andrew Rickmen blows out the candle, leaving himself in darkness.

OoC: Nope, I’m not returning, just needed to show you what’s up with IL. Hope you enjoyed it. Heh, that had mucho~ history and if you don’t remember the slaughter of Rex… it’s “The Return, The Rebirth, and the Revenge” I think. *Shameless plug* I’d check it out.
