When was the last time they billed Jericho as main event?

Whenever he's being used to build up somebody for HHH (e.g. Kane, Steiner).

At least you don't see Angle cleaning dogshit

Wow. Since Angle was cleaning dog shit, it was a ***** feud!

I didn't really get that bit of sarcasm, so I'm just going to ignore it.

Well, no. No at all. The did the same thing to Angle that they did to Jericho, just different methods.

More or less, I agree. But Jericho was look to made out as a pushover, Angle is still a credible champion after all the matches with Benoit and such.

Well take a look at RAW's roster, and he's in the main event when he's not being bogged down with Christian in the tag ranks. He's of main event status there, so I would say that's billing him as main event.

By default more than anything else (not knocking his talent, just the booking of him), Jericho is the #2 heel and gets main event time whenever they want to put someone over as a challenger to Trips.

Someone did it from Mania in the other thread. It worked out to "floudering midcarder" numbers (17-17-4)

Yep... and they don't even push him between jobs to make him look credible when a guy like Steiner beats him.

Yup. What would the WWE do if Jericho pulled a Rock though? "I'm not jobbing so that Triple H can look better..."

I mean, he was fodder for Steiner which in reality was fodder for Hunter.

Actually, I think that Jericho would be better off to pull an Al Snow JOB Squad routine. Snow was onto something when he said that the JOB Squad is the most powerful group in wrestling because they're capable of making someone look like shit if they want to, such as by no-selling a finisher and walking to the back like nothing happened.

If Jericho took a Pedigree then just got up and left...I would mark big time.

He'd be out of a good paying job then though, and that would be very unprofessional.

I'd mark for his NWA debut though!

Rikishi is the ONE guy on Smackdown (unless Vince counts) that makes me want to turn the channel when he comes on.

Vince can't afford to let a guy like Jericho go, even if he sees him as a midcarder. Jericho is the only guy capable of making Triple H's opponents seem credible on RAW that is CURRENTLY willing to do it.

Rock and Austin refuse to be put in that position and there are few other guys who have the credibility and the wrestling ability to do it convincingly. RVD, if he's motivated, can do it as well as Eddy or Benoit, but all three of them are faces right now and two of them are on Smackdown.

I'm not saying that Vince won't screw Jericho over if he does it, he just won't fire him immediately.

Ya I posted it in the other thread but my win/loss stats go back from Wrestlemania X-8 so essentially the last full year.

Just for the hell of it here is Rikishi's singles matches breakdown from the past year:

March 24 Heat vs. Goldust, wins clean

May 16 Smackdown vs. Rico, wins clean

May 23 Smackdown vs. Rev. D-Von, loses by interference by Rico

June 15 Velocity vs. Albert, wins clean

June 20 Smackdown vs. Christian, wins clean, ref missed Christian's leg being on the ropes during the build to the Un-Americans but I'll still call it clean

June 27 Smackdown vs. Test, wins by DQ as Test bumped the ref

July 4 Smackdown vs. Lance Storm, loses due to interference by Test

July 11 Smackdown vs. Test, wins clean

July 25 Smackdown vs. Albert, wins clean

August 1 Smackdown vs. Rev. D-Von, wins clean

August 8 Smackdown vs. Batista, wins due to Rev. D-Von accidently hitting Batista

August 15 Smackdwon vs. Brock Lesnar, loses due to distraction by Paul Heyman

August 29 Smackdown vs. Eddie Guerrero, wins clean

vs. Chris Benoit, loses clean

September 12 Smackdown vs. Chris Benoit, loses by DQ as Kurt Angle runs in to take out Benoit, could be considered NC but I'll stick with the loss

September 26 Smackdown vs. Chavo Guerrero, wins clean

October 10 Smackdown vs. Eddie Guerrero, loses due to use of chair by Eddie

October 24 Smackdown vs. Matt Hardy, wins clean

October 31 Smackdown vs. Big Show, loses clean

November 7 Smackdown vs. John Cena, wins clean

November 21 Smackdown vs. John Cena, wins clean

November 30 Velocity vs. Redd Dogg, wins clean

December 7 Velocity vs. Mike Fox, wins clean

December 12 Smackdown vs. B-2, loses due to interference by John Cena

December 21 Velocity vs. Andy Anderson, wins clean

December 26 Smackdown vs. B-2, wins clean

January 2 Smackdown vs. John Cena, loses due to intereference by B-2

January 9 Smackdown vs. Big Show, loses clean

January 16 Smackdown vs. Bill DeMott, loses clean

January 23 Smackdown vs. Bill DeMott, wins clean

January 30 Smackdown vs. Bill DeMott, loses clean

February 6 Smackdown vs. Nunzio, wins clean

February 13 Smackdown vs. Nunzio, wins by DQ due to interference by the F.B.I., not 100% sure if I'd call this a match

February 20 Smackdown vs. Johnny Stamboli, wins clean

March 13 Smackdown vs. Chuck Palumbo, wins clean although Los Guerreros stop an F.B.I. run-in I guess it didn't really effect the pin

Rikishi was 20-5 in matches that had a "clean" finish. He was 3-7 in matches with a "dusty" finish. Four out of Rikishi's five clean losses came against Big Show & Bill DeMott. The other against Chris Benoit was his second match of that night.

The Japanese style has the right idea. You have to sell moves--because they hurt... a lot.
