Guest tank_abbott Posted March 15, 2003 Report Posted March 15, 2003 Today's Plotline: DARKNESS ON THE EDGE OF TOWN: The Turtles, investigating a strange blackout, discover the Foot Ninja stealing a Japanese ceremonial sword from the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The sword turns out to have incredible powers — able to create powerful vibrational shockwaves. Investigating another blackout, the Turtles discover the Foot has hooked up the sword to a high-tech cannon apparatus for some nefarious purpose. The Turtles battle more Foot Ninja, but now they must shut down the vibrational cannon, which threatens to topple a good chunk of lower Manhattan... Vibrational Cannon? I think my Sister in law has one of those under her bed...
Guest SP-1 Posted March 15, 2003 Report Posted March 15, 2003 All's I got here at 9:44 is FIGHTING FOODONS or whatever the hell it is. I guess there's no repeat for us. NEW EPISODE~! at 10:30 I guess.
Guest RenegadeX28 Posted March 15, 2003 Report Posted March 15, 2003 I think right now, they are giving that wrestling show.....10 minutes until TMNT.
Guest SP-1 Posted March 15, 2003 Report Posted March 15, 2003 yeah this wrestling show is . . . weird.
Guest ElectricRaccoon Posted March 15, 2003 Report Posted March 15, 2003 Ugh. Thoroughly medicore episode this week. A decent sequence with Splinter at the beginning closed out with a tired-ass joke, and my fears stemming from the title sequence are confirmed as we get forced 'Extreme Sports'-related scenes. A cool assortment of ninja weapons was displayed, at least, and the fight scenes were solid (if slapstick-y at points). But, of all six episodes so far, I'd rank this one last. Also, Fighting Foodons is just...well, there's really no way to describe it. All I can say is that the fact that it has ALREADY lasted twice as long as Mad Jack did does not exactly increase my faith in humanity (or Fox executives).
Guest JMA Posted March 16, 2003 Report Posted March 16, 2003 We don't get TMNT or the Fox Box here in Alabama. Now I'll never see the new series...
Guest Crucifixio Jones Posted March 16, 2003 Report Posted March 16, 2003 Ultimate Muscle is a good cartoon. I'm surprised they show something like it on these shores. This was the first time I've gotten a chance to see the new TMNT cartoons and I changed the channel after the first break. I hated the Extreme Sports stuff, the voice work and the animation isn't a tremendous step up from the old stuff, it's just more modern. Different, but not really better. The only thing I can honestly say I liked were the Foot's new uniforms. They beat the crap outta the purple ones.
Guest Karnage Posted March 16, 2003 Report Posted March 16, 2003 That Cramp Twins show that's on right after TMNT doesn't go well with the other shows in the FoxBox.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted March 16, 2003 Report Posted March 16, 2003 Most other shows are action cartoons...and Cramp Twins is a stupid try-for-comedy-and-fail cartoon... ...how I miss the days when Looney Tunes ruled the world...
Guest Mattdotcom Posted March 16, 2003 Report Posted March 16, 2003 We don't get TMNT or the Fox Box here in Alabama. Now I'll never see the new series... Yes, we do. It's just you and your bastard Fox affiliate. Check that thread you started. Well, this episode, like always, had some pros and cons. Oroku Saki actually did something: good. Lack of my new demigod Casey Jones: bad. Probably the most average episode, which makes sense, because it hardly ties in to the others. I know we've got the Foot and Saki, but the other episodes have been connected by one thing or another (Mousers, Casey Jones). I enjoyed it. It was nice to see the Foot back. But, man oh man, next week it is on. Baxter returns with an EYEPATCH, i.e. "the price of failure". Casey Jones is back, teaching Pain 101. New Foot soldiers. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): And it's just four more episodes until the Shredder battles the Turtles.
