at least X-Box is continuing with another system

*does the Scott Hall 'spooky fingers'*

Nintendo makes enough off of GBA and will make enough off to GBA SP to even care.

How nice of Flyboy to stand in for me as the X Box basher, Gamecube fanboy..

Anyway, I've seen Cubes selling for as low as $99, and that would include the free game promotion..Gamecube sales actually doubled in February..HMM...I WONDER WHY?? Could it have something to do with the 600,000 preorders for LoZ:WW?

Actually, it's gotten to the point where the PS2 is clearly at the bottom of the barrel. It still has the game library going for it, but the other systems have closed that gap pretty well, and they have it all over the PS2 in terms of hardware. The only reason I still turn my PS2 on is to play GTA: Vice City. Everything else, I just get for the X-Box, or wait for my roommate to get it for the 'Cube.

But Tom, they don't have it where it counts... in the people's minds. Sorry, but X-Box and GC simply couldn't compete with an established winner in an economic downturn where most of us (including myself) had to make a choice on just one system. The reality is most chose the PS2 because despite all the crap that is released they have so many kickass titles that X-Box and GC are nowhere near catching up in terms of titles...quantity or quality.

I'm not knocking the X-Box's capablities as a system but a shitty controller design and poor marketing will hurt your chances. GC didn't endear itself to anyone when they decided to make mini-me discs and no other capability for the machine. it has metroid, zelda and mario sunshine. i love the nintendo developers but what else does it have going for it? zip

unless these other companies ( and microsoft has no excuse being all mega-power) start doing something creative and prove to a worldwide audience that it would be wiser to invest in them rather than Sony, i don't think either one has a chance in hell at catching Sony and the grip it has on the gaming industry.

X-Box controller is better than the PS2 and Gamecube controller.

Yep. I'll agree.

Sony's controller just sucks ass. 4 Top Triggers? Yuck.

And don't even get me started on Gamecube's.

But X-Box's is far from perfect. Its not the best controller I've used (I'll give that to N64); but since I got used to Dreamcast's bigger controller, X-box's came naturally.

I don't see how the Gamecube is dying. I've had more fun playing Gamecube than I have with the others. It was the same with N64 for me. I don't know why, but I just had more fun with it than the others.

I'm sure Zelda will sell pretty well and we don't know what else is coming out. Everyone's so focused on Zelda.

Why are gaming systems already talking about their next versions? Geez the new ones just came out.

Better than the dual shock? I think not.

First off, the X-Box controller SUCKS ASS. It's too big and bulky, and it's ugly as hell.

Second, PS2 is completely destroying GameCube and X-Box in sales. It has been since day one and continues to do so today.

Third, of the top 10 best selling games of Febuary, 9 were PS2 games and 1 was a GBA game. No GameCube and X-Box games were even close.

I think the GameCube and X-Box are good systems, and obviously produce better graphics than the PS2, but the PS2 is completely dominating the market. The new Zelda game may put a dent in the market for a little while, but it won't last. I'll be suprised if Nintendo is even still making GameCube games a year from now.

I think Nintendo makes too many useless accessories or its systems, really what use does the E-Reader have, did it ever carryover into the card collector games like Pokemon?

I think Sony is on top because they learned their lesson with the Beta launch.....flood the market with software and killer apps to get market share.

Nintendo should put out more games for Game Cube or else it will be just like the N64.

yes i'll agree that N64 controller was the best, but other than that X-Box is better for the controller.

But know, PS2 is recycling games for a strong product right now, and they are depending on these sales to go far.

Cube is iffy. Zelda is great (allready pre-ordered it) But other than that, I can't see anything that good coming out.

X-box doesn't have anything appealing thats coming out soon, other than Jedi Outcast, there is no real games i could see getting

I'm planning to get a second PS2 since mine broke (not the way alot of them mess up, this was pretty much my fault). It just seems the overall better system to me. I do miss the days when Nintendo kicked BUTT, though.

About what games are coming out for the Gamecube OTHER than Zelda in the near future:

Gamecube Exclusives:

1080º: Avalanche

Wario World

F-Zero

WWE Wrestlemania XIX

Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles

On other Consoles

Def Jam Vendetta

Splinter Cell

XIII

Soul Calibur 2 (With Link!)

Those are just the confirmed games that are coming out (most by this summer). There are a ton of exclusive games like Mario Kart, the new Star Fox game and some others that could be out sometime this year. I figure Nintendo, like Sony and Microsoft, are probably holding off the big announcements until E3..

Granted, there aren't that many BIG games, but by the end of this summer games like F-Zero, Wario World, Soul Calibur 2 and Splinter Cell will be on the Cube.
