Are they worth searching for? Are there any other good matches from these Clashes that I should be aware of? Thank you for any help.
Guest JHawk Report post Posted March 20, 2002 Let's hit these in order: Steamboat vs. Austin -Clash 20 Eh, not bad. Probably the best match of the night, but that was a pretty thin Clash wrestling-wise. They're stuff from 1994 is much better, IMO. Steamboat & DOuglas vs. Hollywood Blondes -Clash 22 Very good match if it's the one I'm thinking of, probably the best of the series. (No, the Slamboree cage match doesn't count). That card also has the Thundercage match that turned Cactus Jack face, so I'd recommend it for the last half hour or so alone. Barry Windham vs. 2 Cold scorpio -Clash 23 This one isn't really highly regarded, but it's one of my favorites from that era of WCW. I wish the main site was up fully to refer to SK's rant. Kind of a clash in styles, but I think it's an interesting view. This also has a very good Flair/Anderson-Hollywood Blondes 2 out of 3 falls match that would probably be worth getting the tape for even if Windham-Scorpio wasn't your thing. Austin vs. Pillman -Clash 25 Great match, probably the only one of the feud where they were allowed to do anything. Not a great card though. This match is available on the first WCW All-Nighter and that might be a better way to get it. However, at the Clash there is an above average Dustin Rhodes-Paul Orndorff match and a good Flair-Vader match with a Dusty finish. If you're one of those who has to get full cards, I'd pick it up, but I don't think I'd go out of my way to get it. Anybody else have any opinions?
Guest Report post Posted March 20, 2002 While the match quality on Clash 20 is only so-so it's a cool show since it features lot's of old clips from TBS wrestling shows throughout the years. It might also be the last TV appearance by Andre the Giant, though I could be wrong here. I like this show, but maybe you'll find yourself waiting for the next set of retro clips during some of the matches.

Clash 20 was also the first time WCW even showed (a clip of) Ric Flair after he left to the WWF. It also has the whole Jake "The Snake" Roberts/Sting "Spin the wheel, Make the deal" commerical/mini-movie with the midget.
