Wireless broadband network problem

I just got this recently and it says that my computer is online but it won't bring anything up when I try to use the internet.

So my question is did I do something wrong on my computer or do I need to do something to the original computer in the network.

To vauge to help. What exactly happens when you bring up your browser? Can you ping your other computer's IP? More details.

It comes up with the usually can't bring up the site you requested deal. Anything else that requires being online won't work either.

As far as my computer thinks it's communicating with the network. Everything on my computer says it's with the network. I can bring up all the details of it. There just seems to be one minor thing that's not right.

Still not telling me anything. Ping the router and your other computer and see if you get a response.

You generally need to reboot your PC at least once after connecting it to the router, as well as your broadband modem so that the router picks up its IP. That's all I've ever had to do, and I've set up several routers on broadband networks (none were wireless, but I can't see why that would matter).

You might work for Comcast, Josh, but I work for the government. Perhaps your home needs to be thouroughly searched for contraband? ;)
