Guest LPHScapeGoat Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 Ok I know this may be premature however, with an apparent war how long will it be until we "accidently" bomb some French buildings? We did it in Dessert Storm. And speaking of France I saw a USO thing a few weeks ago. It involved a woman complaing about trampoline as a Olympic sport and said then Hide and Seek should be one also. Then she said can you imagine the comentary. "The Canadiens haven't been seen for 3 hours and the French have already surrendered."
Guest Ash Ketchum Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 1) Not happening, dude. 2) LOL at that last comment.
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 Ash, shoosh. It happens all the time. It's just like when we accidentally hit school buildings and kill a million civilians with a 'smart bomb'. This time, it's just got an ulterior motive.

Guest LPHScapeGoat Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 last time we hit one of their embassy buildings, but there were no americans working that day. i guess that couldnt have been planned though.

I assume that you are talking about Kosovo, and could have been the fact that we pulled out all the Americans so that they wouldn't be 1) Accidentally hit by a misguided bomb 2) The Target of the Serbian Government to be taken hostage and bargained off to stop the bombings. We pulled all the Americans out. It's kinda dumb to suggest that "OMGODZ, TEY PLANED ON B0MBIGN TEH CHINSE EMBESY SO TEHY GOT AL DA AMERCUNS OUT". And Tyler, are you suggesting that nothing EVER goes wrong with Military equipment? Don't you remember the Marine Osprey incident not long ago? False intelligence, a laser moving away from the target at the wrong time, miscommunication, bad weather... no military operation is perfect. And I hope you aren't suggesting that the U.S. Military and the U.S. Government is deliberately targetting civilians because... well, I won't go there.

However in the incident with the embassy in Belgrade (a Chinese embassy by the way, not French), the bomb worked to perfection. Intelligence fucked up, apparently the building the embassy was housed in used to be something else, and somehow no one found out about the move until it got a laser guided bomb dropped on it. So yes, military equipment is not 100% reliable, but I doubt there will be any intentional "mistakes" against French targets.
Guest MrRant Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 So yes, military equipment is not 100% reliable, but I doubt there will be any intentional "mistakes" against French targets. Well here is to the hope that someone reads some coordinates wrong.
Guest MD2020 Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 Didn't we do something like that when the French wouldn't let us fly over their airspace when we bombed Libya? I think we "accidently" bombed their embassy, but no one had been there for a while. I think this happened like this, but I'm just going by memory. If someone knows better, let me know.
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 No, we don't "intentionally" attack civilians, because unlike some of our leaders, most men in the military DO have hearts. However, that's another reason to absolutely despise war, not beg for it at every moment.

Bush, because he wants to take a tyrannical dictator who has endlessly hurt his people to fulfil his quest against the United States out of power. I'm sure Dubya just watches the tapes of people getting executed over and over in the White House for laughs...
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 Nah, I was more referring to whomever allowed the forged documents about Iraq's nuclear program to be used as DEAD ON EVIDENCE that Iraq is not complying with Resolution 1441. I mean, come on. The forgeries were obvious ones, and the CIA isn't incompetent... are they?
Guest Vern Gagne Posted March 17, 2003 Report Posted March 17, 2003 Well half the time to CIA is an evil gov't agency behind every major event in US history, and the other half it's an incompetent agency that doesn't know its head from its ass.
