On Saturday night I went to an Authority Zero concert which by the way was awesome. So I get home about 1AM on Sunday. Now all Sunday I didnt leave my house so I never went to my car. So Monday, I go to my car (My Honda Civic not my Supra, thank god), and I notice that my deck is gone. Ok Im pissed. That was a $300 deck. I punch a few things. The I think for a second.....My subs! I open the trunk, box, amp, subs gone. All of it!!! WTF!!!!!! Like my life can get any worse!! That was a $2000 system in my trunk!! So then the police tell me they cant do finger prints because it isnt the right surface! FUCK!!! That shit pisses me off. Ok just had to let off some steam... Thanks for listening.

Well my life has been going South the last couple of months and getting all my shit stolen isnt helping. So this wasnt the only thing that is making my life bad right now.

This is example #3,598 of why it is pretty stupid to invest more than $500 in a car audio system, unless you can afford to put in a hellacious alarm/protection system (or just hire an armed guard to stand by your car at all times) as well.

It sucks to be you man, I feel for you. But there are worse things in life (i.e. they could have taken the whole damn car). Just chalk it as another reason why people suck and get on with your life.

I have a Viper alamr in my Supra and in my girlfriends car. I just got the Civic. The first thing that I ussually do to my cars is the system because I am a huge music person and if I cant listen to music the way I want, I cant be in the car.

....Saturday Night....Authority Zero......are you from Arizona?

Because there was an Authority Zero concert Saturday Night here in Arizona. I bypassed that for the Tempe Music Festival (which ruled the Earth, by the way. If anyone has a chance to see TNT (AC/DC Tribute band) live, I'd recommend that you do it).

I live 5 minutes from the Tempe Lake. I was going to go to it but ended up going to the Authority Zero concert. I was crowd surfing when Hot Action Cop was on.

It's great to see that people in this forum are so understanding. I thought it was common sense that if you don't care; don't post.

A lovely thought, but, in internet message board land, an impossibility. You should know better.

As for the subject at hand, Hamburger Man's attempt at inviting pity--"why do good things..." blah blah blah--is distasteful, and unwarranted, given the circumstances. I started a topic a few weeks ago where I vented at the mysterious fucknut who did a hit-and-run on my car, but I did so because I was looking for another method to express my rage, not to get people to feel bad for me.

Better yet, don't invest.

Put your money in a lock-box. And then spend some to make deocy lock-boxes. Also put the keys to the lock-box on a big ring with many other keys. Rememeber to keep the location of the lock-box hidden as well.

If I could sum up that post with one word... that word would be lock-box.

Hey, I heard there was some sort of war going on.

Damn, I know it's a $2000 system and all, but don't you think that's a bit much? Remind me never to move to Arizona.

Invest in a paintjob. A really good one will cost half of that stereo system, and it can never be stolen.

EDIT: But I can't be happier that no harm whatsoever came to your girlfriend's car. Anyone who harms that has NO FUCKING SOUL.

I agree with Inc in that this is offensive. "Feel Sorry For Me, My Radio Was Stolen". I just got home an hour ago, and in my driveway I discovered my cat had been run over and killed.

I'm sure there are a few people on this board who have had something more tragic than your current "tragedy". Crap stuff happens in life. Move on.

A kid at work got a TV and XBox installed in his Jeep this past Saturday. On Monday, his car was broken into, and the TV/XBox were stolen. I can't put into words how good it felt to laugh in his face.

That is all.

I heard that the Authority Zero concert was a blast, but didn't it get shut down early for curfew violations or some bullshit?

...and your Civic wouldn't happen to be green, would it?

I think people who install televisions and such in their cars are idiots. A sound system, not so much. But a tv and a gaming system I don't really see the use for; especially when concerning a system along the lines of the big black box of death, which isn't exactly portable. Cars aren't meant to be fucking entertainment centers.

I always get a headache when I try to watch TV and ride in a car at the same time. I don't see how anyone could need something like that.

Well, if you live in your car or spend a lot of nights in there, then I could see the reasons behind it. But if you actually live in it, then you would probably just sell the crap for $$$.

I'm going to an Authority Zero concert ina couple months, I'm quite anxious.

Sucks about getting your shit stolen, but these things happen. You just gotta not spend so much money on something thats easily stolen.

His response?

"How would YOU feel if someone broke into YOUR car and stole your shit?"

Me: "What are they gonna take? The Clash tapes? My notebooks for school? MY 'BUDDY CHRIST' FIGURE?!"

The best part is that he's going to save up and re-install it again. I told him that it was good for him to supply people with free XBoxes and TV's.

$2000 worth of equipment and no insurance? Same thing goes for those of you that rent, get renters insurance. Cover your ass, cause nobody will give a damn.

And a car alarm really won't do didly shit for you(except lower your insurance). If they want it, they will get it. Most folks that steal shit or the car itself can disarm the alarm in a matter of a couple seceonds. Thats why you don't put the sticker logo of your aftermarket alarm in the window, makes it easier to disarm.

The concert ended at midnight. They shut off the mics at midnight but Authority Zero was still on there for a good 20 minutes longer. I almost died when they played One More Minute. Since I so goddamn small.

And my Civic isnt green. Its black.

Well nevermind then. A green Civic almost smashed into me in a parking lot, then the guy gave me a look like I was the asshole. It sucks about your car though. Hope things turn out better.
