Guest Redhawk Report post Posted March 19, 2003 Sportscenter aired a segment today about some part of the military that works in the "computer room," for lack of a better term. Anyway, that's not important for now. What I'm mad about is the ONLY kind of sports connection was that the top colonel guy used to play college football. What the hell was the point of that segment? For one, the guy wasn't even a known football player -- he was a linebacker for DePaul like 20 years ago. And I didn't catch the very end of the report, but it looked to me like ESPN had their reporter doing the whole "live from Qatar" thing. Why does ESPN feel like they need to have war stories? I'm sure a lot of people watch Sportscenter to get away from the regular news, and now they're bringing it there too.
