moral suasion Posted March 19, 2003 Report Posted March 19, 2003 Let's face it. JR's commentary has gone down the shitter big time. He was never great but he was very solid from 1999-2001. Now he just gives everything the hard sell and spells EVERYTHING out for the viewers. It's like he's commentating for 5 year olds. His main focus is begging viewers to stay in thier seats and not adding to matches and angles. He is horrible and in my opinion, really brings Raw down among the other reasons Raw is shitty. King used to be funny and witty and is now just a perv. He was never an expert color guy but used to put guys over big time. A perfect example of this is Owen Hart. King loved him and put him over huge. Now, he serves no purpose. So.. Would Raw be better with Cole and Tazz? Obviously Michael Cole isn't great but he is WAY better than JR right now. He can call a decent match and most importantly, he uses Tazz well. Tazz rocks. He puts guys over and actually gives input into a match. He also has a fun character unlike King. Tazz's knowledge also makes Michael Cole better. Putting Tazz/Cole on Raw obviously has logic issues with the roster split and stuff. But maybe move Heyman (who will become useless as a manager with Angle gone, Big Show being shitty, and Team Angle probably changing directions) to Raw. Make Heyman the play by play guy and put another underutilized wrestler like Al Snow or Flair in the color position. Any way they do it, the WWE should dump JR and King.

Hire Mike Tenay away from TNA and give Joey Styles what he wants and have one of them on SD, the other on Raw. I'd say maybe Styles to Raw with Heyman doing color and Tenay on SD with Tazz doing color. Tazz has at least shown improvement, which is more than I can say about Cole, who just flat out sucks. JR and King can go to hell for all I care.

Jesse isn't going to happen anytime soon...He might make apperences in Minnesota shows but not as an permanant commentator. Heyman was great with Ross as they sounded like they were in NWA again (I know)... Tazz/Cole certaintly isn't the best thing ever but they each compliment each other. Raven was great but Ross would'nt work well with him in his present character. Al Snow was wonderful and they might as well just get it over with and have him offically be the Color Commentary...Go around and LOOK for somebody new...Not Coach, Lita, Josh Matthews (who should be backstage guy only) or Cat. Here is an GRAND IDEA...Have a national Contest search for an New Announcer...and you JUST might find a diamond in the rough...
