Guest HVilleThugg Report post Posted March 20, 2003 In case, for some reason, you have no media outlets and live in a cave... The US has begun bombing Iraq. They bombed several sights, the main being a bunker where intelligence believed many senior government officials of Iraq were staying. They hit with something called a "Bunker Buster", but that's all the information they're giving now. The Prez said some random stuff about nothing, offering very little new information. There's no word yet as to whether their bombing was successful or if the officials were infact in the bunker, nor do we know if Saddam was in there. Guest Beingz0wningj00 Report post Posted March 20, 2003 I saw that on TV at my work... I didn't know if they had struck yet.
Guest Tod deKindes Report post Posted March 20, 2003 Oy prepare for weeks of TV coverage featuring nothing but: "In case you weren't there five minutes ago, here's everything we just said, but with different words (...) We now go to our special correspondant, who's gonna confirm everything I said, using bigger words. (...) In case you've just joined us, nothing new has happened, so let's send it to our panel who'll recap everything we just said (...) " Oy, it never ends. Guest Freakish_Twist_Of_Fate Report post Posted March 20, 2003 (Waits for the security to really up on base) I'm safely nestled in my room. No TV, which is probably a good thing, considering... Though I may venture out to one of the day rooms, and see what's happening. But, I'm expecting things to tighten down around here... Hell, they probably already have. Anyway, back to your regularly-scheduled nothing.
Guest CED Ordonez Report post Posted March 20, 2003 watching the webcam on cbsnews.com...buildings...some car horns honking...some guys of Middle Eastern decent placing cables, a duffelbag, and what could be a bulletproof vest on the roof in plain view of the webcam...well they left...have I mentioned the car horns? In other news, Freakish_Twist_Of_Fate, for using Excel Saga characters as a sig pics, is my new hero.

Guest Freakish_Twist_Of_Fate Report post Posted March 20, 2003 In other news, Freakish_Twist_Of_Fate, for using Excel Saga characters as a sig pics, is my new hero. (Just sits back and laughs) You know... A friend of mine exposed me to it in what can be best described as a fit of tiredness on my part. I haven't laughed so fucking hard... At least not for a while! Princess Hyatt dying every 30 seconds. The battle of wits (and guns!) between Good Excel and Bad Excel. Lord Ilpalazzo and his fetish with Japanese dating simulations on what looks suspiciously like a Game Boy (and seeming to base around Hyatt... Hmm...). And Pedro... Poor, poor Pedro, who lost his sexy wife, and his boy... And who is now the bitch of the Infinite Will of the Microcosm. Damn him and his tears flowing again like waterfalls. NO!!!!! Guest Suicide King Report post Posted March 20, 2003 You know, I think there is something uniquely American about a thread talking about war devolving into an anime thread. ::salutes::

And Thoth, I think I told you in chat last night I got to like the 5th episode or so.
Guest CED Ordonez Report post Posted March 20, 2003 You know, I think there is something uniquely American about a thread talking about war devolving into an anime thread. ::salutes:: I'm capable of degenerating chat sessions into talks of anime, food, wrestling or sex. Sometimes I manage all four seamlessly. I've finished the 5th volume of Excel Saga and patiently await the 6th and final DVD and the oh so degenerative final episode.
