Guest JangoFett4Hire Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 Speculation is abound that the Coalition was tipped off to Hussein's wherabouts by someone on the inside, who is close to the regime. If that is the case, if there is someone willing to risk his life giving info to us, why doesn't he just take out Saddam himself?
Guest MD2020 Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 Well, that would be really helpful. Perhaps, however, this insider can't get close enough to kill Saddam personally--like, he's a couple of levels down the chain, but he still knows where Saddam will be. I think that this guy does not want to die, and is hoping to slip out of the country and let us take care of Saddam after this insider gives us the info. If he went up and shot Saddam, the chances of leaving (or living) decrease greatly.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 A spy gets paid. A hitman would end up losing his own life.
Guest MD2020 Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 Christ, oldschool, it took you a dozen words to say what I was trying to say in two paragraphs.
Guest JangoFett4Hire Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 Well, if he's close enough to Saddam to let us know where he is, won't he probably end up getting bombed anyways?
