Guest Nanks Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 I have received this word from someone on another board who has a contact within WWE. His source has proved to be very reliable in the past. "WWE are said to be very worried, as now, the other WWE title match could be in jeopardy. It is stated that HHH has been in extreme pain from his back that he has had numerous operations on and which has shortened his career. At this time his back is very bad shape, it is not known as to yet if it is a reoccurence of his back problem or a different matter entirely." The thing is that it could be another Kurt Angle situation and that the match is in trouble and may not go ahead. HHH has said he will do the match but had trouble even lying down today let alone wrestling. He will be advised in the next couple of days as to what will happen but at this point it is hard to say. I will keep you updated as soon as I get it. Nanks' note: This has got to end here, if he's not good to go for Mania, he's just gotta drop that strap on RAW. It must end now.
Guest franchise632 Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 I must have missed the "numerous" back surgeries that "Paul" has had over his career.
Guest El Satanico Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 Just a bit of warning...you're going to get rip apart here over this Someone reporting "news" from a "source" they claim to personally know doesn't go over well around these part.
Rob E Dangerously Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 Paul Heyman's injured? NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Guest Mole Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 It took me a while to figure out who 'Paul' was. So does Steff call him Paul or Hunter?
Guest Nanks Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 Sorry, I just pasted the report in from the other board. I've fixed it up now, it does mean HHH. I'm not claiming to have this source myself, this is someone else's post from another board, and this particular source, I have to say, is pretty much always well informed
Guest Zero_Cool Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 Speaking of Triple H, did anybody see how he came down on his leg after "using the knee"? I was like, "did he tear it AGAIN?!" I must've missed all of his back surgeries, because I don't remember him being injured there like ever.
Guest bob_barron Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 Who is the source? What board? Don't post crap like this and expect us to believe it
Guest Nanks Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 The source's screen name is Sole Survivor from the LWS Board. I don't really care if no one believes it, just thought some people might find it interesting.
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted March 20, 2003 Report Posted March 20, 2003 As it's been stated in this thread, I have no recollection of Hunter EVER having back surgery. You'd think these wannabe-Meltzer's would get the body parts right, eh?
Guest Nanks Posted March 21, 2003 Report Posted March 21, 2003 You know about each and every operation every wrestler has had in the past do you??
Guest NoSelfWorth Posted March 21, 2003 Report Posted March 21, 2003 Maybe Hunter hurt his back from carrying the company to it's current, dizzying heights.
Guest JHawk Posted March 21, 2003 Report Posted March 21, 2003 You know about each and every operation every wrestler has had in the past do you?? Usually something like that is pretty common knowledge though.
Guest Trivia247 Posted March 21, 2003 Report Posted March 21, 2003 wakes up from a nap Yawnnnnn But but Paul Orindorf suppose to take on Hogan in a cage match Im going too....wait this isn't 1986?
Guest Nanks Posted March 21, 2003 Report Posted March 21, 2003 I must agree, but would it really surprise you to learn that not just his leg is broken down?? We are talking about Cripple H here...
Guest AlwaysPissedOff Posted March 21, 2003 Report Posted March 21, 2003 You know about each and every operation every wrestler has had in the past do you?? Oh please, don't even try to go there. If he had actually had a bad back, then it would have been mentioned somewhere. Hell, all of his 'bad' injuries have been knee/leg-related(aside from the elbow), so that alone makes this bit of "news" smell phony. Here's a challenge for you: How about asking your source exactly WHEN Hunter ever had an injured back that needed numerous operations, eh?
Guest Nanks Posted March 21, 2003 Report Posted March 21, 2003 I have to agree, awaiting a reply on that one now. I repeat though, it isn't MY source.
Guest Breetai Posted March 21, 2003 Report Posted March 21, 2003 Ah well. Y'know, if it WERE true, maybe he could ask Shawn how to lose his smile.
Guest KingOfOldSchool Posted March 21, 2003 Report Posted March 21, 2003 You know about each and every operation every wrestler has had in the past do you?? Usually something like that is pretty common knowledge though. I believe his only operations in the WWF/E are knee repair, quad repair and minor elbow repair. And while it's not outside the realm of possibility of HHH's back being injured, Nanks, I fail to see where this guy gets his information about "multiple back operations."

Maybe they mean the operations to forcibly remove the remaining members of D-X from his ass... IIRC, that took place first in early 1999 then again in mid-2000.
Guest Quik Posted March 21, 2003 Report Posted March 21, 2003 I must have missed the "numerous" back surgeries that "Paul" has had over his career. And I suppose you also aren't aware of the 3 tours Paul did in 'Nam. Not to mention the fact that he's in Baghdad right now. "No Private-uh, use the knee-uh. You aren't fighting the US Army-uh style."
Guest j.o.b. squad Posted March 21, 2003 Report Posted March 21, 2003 It took me a while to figure out who 'Paul' was. So does Steff call him Paul or Hunter? she probably just calls him bitch
Guest humongous2002 Posted March 21, 2003 Report Posted March 21, 2003 HHH has said he will do the match but had trouble even lying down today let alone wrestling. Damn he's been having that problem since he came back from his quad injury, he rarely likes to be on his back in the ring ,especially with wrestlers that might steal his "spot".
Guest razazteca Posted March 21, 2003 Report Posted March 21, 2003 Maybe he confused HBK with HHH, just like 80s heart throbs of the 2 Corys.
Guest snuffbox Posted March 21, 2003 Report Posted March 21, 2003 Maybe Hunter hurt his back from carrying the company to it's current, dizzying heights. Hilarity
Guest NoCalMike Posted March 21, 2003 Report Posted March 21, 2003 well if for some odd reason he drops the title on Raw on Monday, I shall be there live and in person to see it. I don't count on it though.
