Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted March 23, 2003 Damn I didn't realize they edited Unforgiven. I was there live so of course I bought the dvd. I don't even remember that spot. Only thing that bugs me is they eidted ricflair's theme to be his old wwf theme (from 91/92) and also Edge's theme to his "you think you know me one" kinda annoying since they noticeably turn down the crowd noise. damn even thq wasn't that cheap and got the rights to rob zombie for sd:sym. oh well. Yeah, they do that for all the DVDs, the nWo theme in Backlash (???) becomes the nWo theme from the Wrestlemania X-8 Gamecube game, and also "Rollin'" is edited out although "American Badass" was included in earlier DVDs. DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2003 bob barron said Aside from them editing out part of the 8-man- I haven't noticed any other matches being edited I could probably start a thread of edits since 2000 if it wasn't for the fact I probably wouldn't remember anymore. Most recently (haven't seen Armageddon and probably wouldn't realize something being edited out), Survivor Series edited out Rico yelling at Jeff Hardy for missing his cue. Going back a few years, WMX-7 has a different camera angle for Eddie falling off the ring apron (although it's still somewhat visible in the corner) and I believe it shortens the amount of time Test was stuck in the ropes. The commercial release for Backlash 2000 removes a blown spot by Essa Rios (replaced with a shot of Chyna on the outside). That's off the top of my head... I was at the show and I totally missed Rico yelling it so when the crowd was laughing I was all confused. Armageddon edits out Batista's fucked up slam I think. Summerslam 2001 edits out Jericho's two fuckups. Yea- X-7 does shorten Test's fuckup. What spot does Essa Riso blow btw?
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2003 Essa was going for the "flippity dippity arm drag", I believe, but fell down... I think. Either way it was running towards the ropes while holding Eddie's hand. The funny thing about the Jericho edit at SummerSlam is that the first show has Rhyno irish whipping him away from the entrance way edited together with him being thrown in that direction. Sloppy. Oh, BTW Bob, I also thought the Allied Powers music was cool.
Guest eiker_ir Report post Posted March 23, 2003 at WM 17, they edited the time that Test was stuck in the ropes, but when he is released you still can hear the crowd cheering them for finally being able to free him...
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted March 23, 2003 Anythin else edited out this year? I have all the 2002 PPVs on DVD and aside from- C'mon Jeff Goddamnit! Bubba killing Lance The sideslam I haven't noticed any other match edits
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2003 I think the ending to Kane vs Angle at WMX8 is edited. I remember it looking really (REALLY) bad live, but watching the DVD it just looks "kinda sloppy". I think a different camera angle is used on the commercial release of WMX8 when Rock does the people's elbow (as the original angle showed Rock barely connecting). I THINK (this is based on memory) a botched Flair flip is edited out too. The funny thing is both of those are shown in their original form in the end of show video package. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted March 23, 2003 The Flair Flip remains on my copy. Angle v. Kane still looks pretty bad but I do think they did some editing on it. I didn't noticed the botched people elbow's thing.
Guest eiker_ir Report post Posted March 23, 2003 the people's elbow is just like it was showed live
DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted March 23, 2003 Actually, yes, the Flair flip is there. The first time I watched it I had missed it while reading or doing something else and assumed it was edited.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted March 23, 2003 Plus Flair fucking up wasn't that bad since the announcers were able to sell it as he was so exhausted from getting the shit kicked out of him.
