My biggest mark out moment

Recommended Posts

Guest treble charged

Easily, it's when Bob Backlund snapped after losing to Bret Hart on Superstars in '94.  I went absolutely NUTS!

Second place would be Ludwig Borga pinning Tatanka with one finger to end his winning streak.  I was bummed out the rest of the day.

Warrior's return to the WWF at Wrestlemania 8.

Brian Pillman hopping the rail and attacking Steve Austin on RAW.

Benoit winning WCW World Title.

Austin coming out, helping Foley en route to first WWF Title.

Biggest markout moments for me would probably be:

Even though its a sham and its a shame Les Thatcher gets any publicity ever, I'd have to say any one of the Pillman shows I was lucky to be at had a billion markout moments:  Flair and Steamboat in the ring together and D-Lo coming out to bow down to them . . .Brian Hildebrand's entrance at 99, after battling stomach cancer . . .Benoit/Regal at 2000 . . .

When Savage and Elizabeth reunited at WM7 . . . yes, I am a big sap.

Bundy attacking Hogan back in the day before WM2.

Piper's entrance for WM3 gives me chills to this day.

I did enjoy Hogan's babyface reaction at the last WM, but probably the most enjoyable goosebump markout moment for me was on a small indy show in Georgetown, KY, in a cage match between Wildcat Chris Harris and The Bomb Rob Williams . . . when the lights went out, and a familiar figure appeared on the stage.  The guy's name is Angel, and he'd been gone for over a year, but the people still remembered him.  It was the loudest pop I remember hearing relative to the number of people in the building, and I got some major chills and goosebumps... THAT'S what makes me stay in this business day after day . . .

Being in the Bilo-Center in lovely Greenville, SC to watch God... er Ric Flair shoot on Bischoff. OMG that was so heavy and it had me in tears of joy watching the Horsemen reform.

Another one that has been mentioned on here is the Backlund/Hart match from Superstars. It was taped on July 3rd, 1994 in Ocean City, Maryland(haha i was there) The weird thing is that Backlund was booed like Crazy before his heel turn against Bret. On Wrestling Challenge in August(still taped from the same event) it was showing Backlund against a jobber and he was booed like crazy. That nite is also special because it was Joey Marella's last ever card. His last match that he ever reffed is Bret vs Owen from Ocean City, Maryland at around 12:30.

and finally...

MILKAMANIA~! Kurt Angle + a milk truck + Alliance + JR screaming "milkamania is running wild" = one amazing segment. Austin/Angle are awesome together.
