Venue:Cobb County Civic Center, Marietta - GA Attendance: Announcing Team: Mike Tenay and Bobby Heenan In-Ring Announcer:Jeremy Borash Referee Team: Fred Richards, Mark Johnson, Rudy Charles, and Scott Armstrong. NWA: Total Non-Stop Action's Xplosion program opened up with a quick pan of the crowd and then the camera shows Bobby Heenan and Mike Tenay. Tenay"Hello ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the NEW format of Xplosion, it's now LIVE and we have a great show planned for you tonight, Not only that, but let's welcome my new broadcast partner Bobby "The Brain" Heenan. Bobby how are you?" Heenan"Tenay, what are you my mother? Don't ask how I am, let's talk about the GREAT main event we have tonight. Let's talk about the four way tag for the vacant tag team titles!" Tenay"Well lets not delay anymore, and get down to the ring for our first contest, one from the X Division." Paul London pins The Amazing Red after a shooting star press. Pretty good match, crowd wasn't really into this one. Paul London showed why he was one of the up and coming stars of this X division. London looks forward to next week, when he gets a rematch with Kid Kash for the X title. Overall Rating:55% Crowd Reaction: 47% Match Quality: 77% -Gilbretti says Jarret's days are numbered- Goldylocks is standing with Glen Gilberetti awaiting an interview with him Goldylocks"Mr. Gilbertti, after Wensday, it appears as if the leader of SEX, Vince Russo is no longer in TNA, how much truth was there to this?" Gilbertti"HOW MUCH TRUTH WAS THERE IN IT?!?!? Goldy, I'm ashamed of you for doubting Vince Russo. Yes, it is true that Vince Russo is gone, but the most important part of that is that he chose a new leader of SEX, a new man to guide this faction into the future. You know who that man is Goldy?" Goldylocks"Umm, not really Mr.Gilbertti." Gilbertti"Goldy, it's ME!!! That's right, I LEAD SEX. Sports Entertainment Xtreme is all mine now, I call the shots! And that's bad news to a lot of people, including you Jarrett. Jeff, I know how badly you want us to go away, but it's not going to happen. Sports Entertainment Xtreme didn't grow weaker with the loss of Vince Russo. No, no we grew STRONGER! Because with a man like me, a man who has actually paid his dues in the wrestling bussiness as a wrestler, SEX is now prepared to go to greater heights. There will be no more failures. No, this time Sports Entertainment Xtreme is going to dominate the NWA. So Jarrett, I'm telling you now, you better go outside and take pictures of yourself with that belt, you better put it on the kids and let them play with it. Hell, you better make love to your wife with that thing on, because it's not long until that title comes where it rightfully belongs Jarret. That title is going around my waist, the title is going to belong to Sports Entertianment Xtreme, that title is going to people who actually have to EARN it Jarrett. Not all of us were handed the business on a silver platter, hell I started training in a small federation right here in Cobb County, Georgia!! I started in the North Georgia Wrestling Alliance!! And my daddy wasn't there to protect me Jarrett, no, I did it on my own. Everything I ever did, it's been on my own. And when I take that F'N title off your waist Jarrett, it will be alone. Get the hell out of my Goldy!! And with that Gilbertti pushes Goldy out of the way and storms off 75% -advertisment- David Flair beats the Sandman after a singapore cane shot. This match started with about a five minute stall fest, the Sandman abosolutely did not want to put his singapore cane down. He pushed referee Scott Armstrong out of the way, and started beating on David Flair with it, Mike Tenay said since the bill hadn't sounded, the match wasn't under way. J.J. Dillion came down and told the Sandman to put the cane up, and wrestle a straight match. So he put it up, and then commenced brawling with David Flair. I would be doing an injustice if I called this fight, Sandman just beat the hell out of Flair. The match was coming to an end when Sandman irish whipped Flair into Scott Armstrong, and then went to revive the ref. When he turned around, he was greeted by a singapore cane shot from Flair, and by the time all this had happend, Brain Lawler revived Armstrong, and Flair got the win over Sandman. Overall: 56% Crowd Reaction: 66% Match Quality: 59% Heenan"I guess next time, the Sandman will learn to be fair to Flair!!!!" Tenay"Will you STOP Bobby, the Sandman is not going to be happy with the Second Generation after that little stunt. Up next, MORE X-division action! -advertisement- Elix Skipper defeated Shark Boy afer the Play of the Day. Good little match between this two, Shark Boy of course pulled out his ass biting spot, which caused Skipper to flee the ring. The announcers tried to make Skipper seem like more of a contender for the NWA title, instead of the X division title. I've heard the NWA writing team wants to push him to the top, so maybe this hype was the start of that. Anyway, Skipper beat on him for awhile at the start of the match, and then Shark Boy took a slight advantage, only to have Skipper take it from him in the end. This was a little too short, but I guess they're saving time for the big four way elimination match at the end of the show. Overall Rating: 56% Crowd Reaction: 53% Match Quality: 73% -advertisement- -Interview with the New Church- This inteview had no big purpose, just Mitchell saying his men were gonna win the tag team titles. 62% MAIN EVENT XXX beat America's Most Wanted in a four way elimanation match for the vacant NWA Tag Team titles. Also included in this match were: The Rock N Roll Express and The New Church. Decent match, considering most of these guys aren't the greatest workers. XXX carried the America's Most Wanted to the best part of the match. These two teams went at it for about ten minutes, it ended when Low 'Ki hit the stiffest kick I've ever seen to the back of James Storm's head.
