Guest Report post Posted March 21, 2002 Of course, the topic line is the old Raw tagline... I hate to say it, but the folks at Penn State will be seeing a boring show, unless they're sports fans. I want to see the WWF draft go just like the NBA or NFL draft, and it's much more entertaining because we know all of the people, instead of some college dudes that you don't know being drafted after the first round. What I mean by all of this is have a whole setup, one podium for Vince, another for Flair, on the stage. Have each one have a certain amount of time for their next pick, and matches between picks. Say 10 minutes or so for each round of picks, with each party making two picks at the end of those ten minutes. It'd even sound official, at least Flair would, but Vince would of course inject his heelish speech in there... Flair: For the Raw program, I select... (insert workrate-intensive wrestler here) Vince: For the INFINITELY SUPERIOR AND SUCCESSFUL Smackdown! program, Iselect... (insert good wrestler who is a slightly better talker than worker) And so on, you know what I mean. Some surprises would be nice. A neat way to set up the surprises would be Vince taking all of the "good" picks, but Flair coming right back by picking up people like Benoit, Rey Mysterio, and such. Each round of picks would take a segment, so of course the whole draft won't be done onscreen. I doubt the crowd or television audience would really care where Saturn or Blackman go. That's all I've got to say about that. Ack, looking back on this, my post looks Fierro-like. If I ever do this again, someone shoot me.

I don't get it....wtf are you trying to say? And how do you sound like Fierro? Any way I bet we will see the top guys and surprsie picks drafted and then they will do a segment where the list appears in the back for the other guys to check. Then will run down the full lsit on Smackdown.
Guest BA_Baracus Report post Posted March 21, 2002 They'll fuck this storyline up and drop it within a month or two just like all the recent "big" storylines. They should just concentrate on coming up with some good individual feuds and getting the belts over Like that will ever happen though...
Guest converge241 Report post Posted March 21, 2002 I know they would never do it but why not have a legit random draft? Of course you have to mandate a few of the big guys for storylines etc, but after you get past top 10 guys let em just pick at will till everybody's gone. I think that would come across and add a feeling of extra unpredictability to it. Ive thought the same thing about the Royal rumble. Why not slot the guys at random and script the match from there? Again I know they wouldnt do it, just more of a rhetorical musing.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted March 21, 2002 I like your ideas converge, but it could ruin everything they have planned for once the draft is over. It would certainly make for some exciting WWFTV and it would be interesting to see the real emotion of the wrestlers who get drafted to the shows they don't want to be on. Guest Report post Posted March 21, 2002 I figured I sounded like Fierro because my idea looked kinda impractical in retrospect, and Fierro was the guy who said that Jeff Hardy was going to be God after his brief IC run... no, I'm sorry, he said that HHH/Jeff was Match of the Year.
