Guest razazteca Posted March 23, 2003 Report Posted March 23, 2003 Swept Away was in theaters for what 2 weeks, did it even get national wide release or was it the selected markets BS.....NYC and LA only. If it was up to me I would nominate Star Wars II for everything but worst director stands out the most.
Guest El Satanico Posted March 23, 2003 Report Posted March 23, 2003 wooo Jackass won an award...this is a truly great day. Other than Madonna winning worst supproting actress for Die Another Day i see no problems here. I mean honestly she was only in Die Another Day for 5 minutes, there had to be a less worthy "performance" that could've won...

Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted March 23, 2003 Report Posted March 23, 2003 Swept Away had wide release, but it tanked so fast that it was yanked from most screen in less than a week. The Razzies are more predictable than the Oscars anymore.

The Razzies are more predictable than the Oscars anymore. It only opened on a couple hundred screens. I wouldn't call that a wide opening.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted March 23, 2003 Report Posted March 23, 2003 My bad on Swept Away. It opened in my hometown of Zanesville, Ohio, so being such a small market I figured it had wide release. Pinocchio is supposed to very stupid and badly dubbed and comes off very weird with a guy in his 40's play a "small boy."

Guest WrestlingDeacon Posted March 24, 2003 Report Posted March 24, 2003 Gummo was set in Xenia, Ohio which is across the state from me near Dayton. Xenia is a real city.
Guest godthedog Posted March 24, 2003 Report Posted March 24, 2003 ah...i didn't know that. i think i read in a couple reviews or something that it was fictitious. ... +1
Guest Retro Rob Posted March 24, 2003 Report Posted March 24, 2003 The Razzie are no fun anymore. They purposely go around picking on certain movies/people just to get more mainstream attention.

There are shittier movies than Star Wars, and shittier Sci-Fi movies than Star Wars
