Guest converge241 Report post Posted March 25, 2003 the first cold album was released in 1997 and is easuily the best album fred found them in Jacksonville and got them their record deal but the album was barely pushed and got delayed numerous times and was very ahrd to find (i had to special order it) Bizkit took them out and they got tours here and there but nothing major they made "13 ways" and got a little radio/video play from Bleed and Just Got Wicked but got on the wrong tours.. they got booed heavily on Ozzfest and opening for QWeezer and had to leave both tours they got the opening slot for the first staind tour for break the cycle and started to get a lttle bigger they are touring with Staind again this summer for year of the spider scooter shaved his head for the second album..he had some type of weird perry farrel look hair thing going on before that and yes they are one of my favorite bands and had the pleasure of hanging out with scooter outside the venue while Staind played inside(Stainds allright and all but being from massachusetts ive seen them many times) i dont see them ever being as big as a Staind or disturbed becuase they are all over the place sometimes..i dont think they can match the first self titled album either... that was one of the best albums ever..a perfect cross between Korn and the Cure
Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted March 26, 2003 Cold isn't an emo or a metal band. They're a lot of things and thats why I like them. If you can pigeon hold a band completely, then I tend to not like them. I like a band that can do almost anything. They're hardly a whining band either, they tend to just deal with emotion in general, good or bad, as I said, they have happy songs in the catalogue too. Disturbed...I can't comment on as I have not heard the second album all the way through. Namely because The Sickness turned me off completely. AHHHAAA MOMMY YOU'RE HURTING ME AHAHAHA." I laughed. Guest Choken One Report post Posted March 26, 2003 I advise you to pick up Believe, Lyrically it's great and Musically it's not perfect but it won't offend you. It's less "Hard" but has better stuff all around. Pick up Believe, Disturbed is vastly different from the Korns and Stainds of Today Music.
