War on Iraq: It's own board perhaps?

I say this only for the purpose of making things work a bit better. Not only would this keep Current Events be just overrun with thread after thread of war topics, but it would also allow people to post news, opinions, and all of that stuff without having to questin if it warrents it's own thread or not.

 

I dunno, it would just be cool if we could post anything about the war we want as a seperate topic in on a board such as this, without having to worry if we'll be put down for starting yet another topic on it. Hell, with so much going on in this war it almost demands thread after thread. It's very hard to keep so many different aspects of it in the same thread. It doesn't allow for everyone to see the breaking news as soon as they would like if it's hidden in some other thread.

 

Just an idea, I know I'd love to see it happen, at least untill after the war, however long that may be.

Ask Tom to create a temporary sub forum folder that will be deleted when its over.

I don't see the necessity of it, really. There's a pinned thread for general conversation about the war, and newsworthy individual incidents can get their own threads, like what's happening now. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, IMO.

Because people start new threads for every little thing that pretains to the war, so all the non-war threads are bogged down.

i have to agree with tom. this war will probably over in a matter of months anyway so what is the point? right now, the "shock and awe" of war makes every little detail significant where they will probably be meaningless when examining the big picture a few months down the road. once the media gets back to a normal tv schedule, so will the current events folder.

Besides...we prefer that posters don't have opinions...opinions just make things all messy.
