CONFIRMED: Sgt. Asan Akbar's motive...

Recommended Posts

Guest Downhome

First off, Asan Akbar is not his given name, I forget what they said it was, but he did change it to a Muslim name after he became a Muslim. Anyhow...

...since the tragedy took place, we've been told that his reason was simply "resentment", for not being allowed to go to the front lines and the sort like that. Just now on MSNBC, I don't have anything such as a website article to give you yet, they are now stating that they have found out that he did this, just as I expected, because he did not agree with the war.

He killed his own comrades simply because he didn't agree with them being over there, and killing the Muslims of Iraq. He did it because he sides with Iraq, this man is a true traitor if there ever was one. Now, we sit and wait.

We sit and wait to see the backlash from this now. We sit back and wonder what the US Military will not do about this, if anything. I'm not talking about Akbar's punnishment, it will surely be his life in short time. I'm talking about what we will now do about the other Muslims in our military. Yes, there are some good ones wishing to help free Iraq from the stronghold of the evil Saddam, but the "what if" will more than likely spread through the ranks. Now, I ask this here...

...what SHOULD we do just to be safe? Should we do anything and just take the chance, or what? This is a very fine line, and honestly, I am not sure what I would do. One thing is for sure though, and that is I bet we'll begin looking into the background of any Muslims that is on our side. In times like this, especially when religion is involved, I would have to say it's better to be safe than sorry. I don't know about you, but if I was one of the "good" Muslims, wishing to do the right thing, I wound understand. Wouldn't you?

All it takes is one act of evil and betrayal to create confusion and an uncomfortable situation, and unfortuently, that one act has taken place.

Sincerely,

...Downhome...

I thought that "upset because he's not on the front lines" story was bullshit. I mean, if you're upset because you're not out in front, killing your officers isn't going to make it happen for you either.

I guess we wait to see if this is confirmed, and then what action takes place. One solider is dead, so it's murder. I assume the penalty is death, correct? If they can shoot you for disobeying a direct order, then killing your own guys has to be punished that way as well.

I was just about to post this. I want the motherfucker to suffer and die a terrible death.

That's how I feel.

Do not worry, there is no chance that this fuck will live very long, he WILL die, period. His days are now numbered, and they will run out soon. I think it would be fun to take him, hold a gun to his head, and make him walk over to the Iraqi side. Then, once he is there, we shoot to kill, heh.

Seriously though, for what he did he will get the death penelty, he made his decision and now he will pay. Anyhow, fuck him...

...my concerns now is what will be the aftermath of this.

How did he ever even get in a position to be over there to start with? I mean, after Vietnam, they had to know that fragging could become an issue.

This guy is fucked.

Yes, I am captain obvious.

They should bunk him with the John Walker Lindh (SP?) so they can take turns on the asskicking that's going to follow.

This guy is going to be in lots of pain very quickly when they slap him in Leavenworth until they string him up (or however court martials do it, I don't even know).

As Ving Rhames said it in Pulp Fiction, he's going to be "Mr. About to Live the Rest of His Short Ass Life in Excrutiating Pain".

Lindh is sitting in his cell grinning from ear to ear that he isn't this guy.

No one is actually adressing the question :)

Cries of segregation can fall on deaf ears for all I care. I still haven't heard any massive Islamic support for America, just massive Islamic hatred of America. The silence of the American Muslims who should be supporting this war is not helping their acceptance in America. There is no reason for any Muslim to hate America, besides being told to by someone above him. You can bring out connections to Israel, but that shouldn't matter to any non-Palastinan, certainly not an American.

If Muslims do not want to be segregated against in the same way Gays are right now, something needs to be done. Muslims need to learn, or be taught how, to look past religion of leaders and look at actions of leaders.

He should be killed slowly and painfully.

You realize, of course, that people who seriously advocate sentiments like that come across as being no better than those in the "religion of peace." While I might want this son of a bitch to die an inch at a time for what he did, I also realize that we owe him a swift, humane execution, simply because we're better than the subhuman filth we're fighting. There's no reason to sink to their methods just because they're in close proximity.

The words religion and peace do not even belong in the same paragraph, nevermind sentence.

That's true enough. Some of you people sound like genuine psycho-sexual sadist weirdos with your pathetically convoluted torture scenarios. Fuck's sake, someone commits an ultimate crime, you either kill him quickly or shut him up in a jail cell for the rest of his waking life. Both suitable punishments, both perfectly reasonable and no need to come off like the people you're meant to be fighting.

Kill him. He's a traitor by definition - just like american spies can be expected to be executed in North Korea.

But as for those torture talk, you people make it hard to believe that we're any better than Iraqi savages.

Personally, a bullet to the head from an officer's sidearm would work for me.

Makes you wonder though, he was whining about not being able to go the front.....the Co basically kept him benched...Maybe perhaps he was planning on sabotaging the Unit in the field, aid Iraqi's to targets.

He should be executed. No need for torture.

As anyone come to this guys defense. Blaming the racist military, or anti-muslim sentiment in this country.

God... more proof that Baton Rouge, LA is the crossroads for many of this nation's problems.

The Taliban? One of the captured fighters being held at Gitmo turned out to be born in Baton Rouge.

The Anthrax mailings? An LSU professor was deemed a Person Of Interest for months before being dismissed as a suspect.

West Nile Virus? Most of the fatalities from this affliction in the US came from the Baton Rouge area in the past year.

Guys jumping the fence at the White House? One who did it during the Clinton years went to the same middle school that I did in BR, although 20 years earlier.

The nation's only active serial killer? Killing women in Baton Rouge and the stretch of interstate between BR and Lafayette, LA.

And now THIS guy... went to Captiol High School in Baton Rouge and his family still lives here. His father is insisting that there was some reason behind what he did. I'd say it was because he's a f*cking moron...

We have a serial killer? Damn. I had no idea. Nothing intrigues me more than watching law enforcemnt working on a serial case. I don't know what it is, but there is just something that is so interesting to me about how they are able to piece all the little facts and tip and whatnot together and catch te guy.
