Guest B-X Report post Posted March 24, 2003 So I went to the Ritz in Raleigh tonight to check out Queens of the Stone Age. The Ritz is a tight little place for rock, and I was right beside the stage, in the pit. This place is PERFECT for small rock shows. TurboNegro opened, and I gotta say, these muthafuckers still got it in them after 4 years off the road. They played a song off their album due in May, and it was pretty fucking awesome. Then Queens took the stage, and I started taking tokes. They went through most of the shit on the new album, plus the best stuff from "Rated-R". They finished off the set with "No one Knows" . (Actually, a bunch of people left, so they came back on and did the Laughing Track from the end of Songs For The Deaf) After the show, I was waiting for my ride, and I got an autograph from Joey Castillo of Danzig. So yea, good fucking night. If these guys come around, GO TO THE SHOW.
Guest Coffin Surfer Report post Posted March 25, 2003 So how does new Turbonegro sound, is it more like Apoclypse Dudes, Ass Cobra, or something completely different? Good to hear that they still kick ass live.
Guest B-X Report post Posted March 26, 2003 The stuff they did was sorta darkish (you know how them Scandinavans be), but it had this weird Ramones feel. I was confused.
