Guest Human Fly Report post Posted March 21, 2002 Brock Lesnar really ripped it up on Monday. His debut was awesome. Since then I've read things like "If Stephanie wins the title Brock Lesnar will be the only thing worth watching in the WWF" or "I'd stop watching wrestling if it wasn't for Brock Lesnar". That's an awful lot of high praise for someone who has made a total of 1 appearance (2 after Smackdown). Has anyone actually seen him work? What if he can't string a match together that is worth beans? I also keep reading how he's going to be in line for a monster Goldberg-like push. This is all after one run-in against midcarders in a hardcore match. And does Paul Heyman really make that big of a deal? He's a good manager and a good talker, but is that any reason to make Brock Lesnar World Champ in 2 weeks? Don't get me wrong I think he holds a lot of promise but, I can't wait to see it when he busts out the shooting star press, but I'm not going to call him the savior of the WWF yet. Also, what is the deal with everyone writing ##### instead of profanity. We all know what it means, if you're not going to write the actual word why bother with the number signs, try and find a more creative way of expressing yourself or just write the word I don't really think it will bother too many people. Guest bps "The Truth" 21 Report post Posted March 21, 2002 um...I think that the #### thing is a joke. Right? I mean you can say fuck and shit...but not #### (he ll) and #### (da mn)
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted March 21, 2002 I've seen Lesner in a couple of dark matches and at a house show, he is a very large powere wrestler with good agility. He has an amatuer background which is a plus. Heymen is a great manager, he will cement Lesner as a heel, until Lesner turns face and drops him. i think if you type "####" and "####" you get ####, but shit and fuck are ok. Guest Human Fly Report post Posted March 21, 2002 #### is cool then. Everytime I saw it I was always like "What in the world, hardly anyone is censoring this stuff why bother with this crap"
Guest notJames Report post Posted March 21, 2002 I think people are just excited over the prospect of someone new as opposed to calling on the old-timers to try to boost the product. A little overzealous to proclaim him Jesus, but hey, if the dude can walk on water like they all say he can, I'll sign up for the Church of Brock-y in a heartbeat. Anything's better than having to watch Austin vs. Hall v. 2.0, especially if the Rattlesnake is really pissed off about him. And of course, Heyman is beloved by many around these parts, so it's only natural to put him in the Holy Spirit position. We all know who sits in the big chair... I'll give you a hint: his name starts with Ben and endes with Wah
Guest KOR420 Report post Posted March 21, 2002 He's not a bad wrestler,I've seen some of his ring work, and him being new is the most exciting thing I've seen lately because i always see the same old shit, and once again, the Heyman factor, this guy is gonna make it he's a monster
Guest treble charged Report post Posted March 21, 2002 All I can say is that Lesnar is FUCKING MASSIVE! That is all.
Guest notJames Report post Posted March 21, 2002 He reminds me of that big grey beast that almost impaled Frodo Baggins in that cave in LOTR. Sorry, I only saw it once, so I don't know its name. but If you saw it, you'd know what I mean. He also reminds me of Sid when viewed through a funhouse mirror. But that's just me... Guest treble charged Report post Posted March 21, 2002 He reminds me of a monster. A FUCKING MASSIVE monster!
Guest Sakura Report post Posted March 21, 2002 He's new and the marks don't know who he is. Rallying for his push and talking like you can tell he has "potential" makes you look like you know what you're talking about. It's true! Same thing happened to Bull Buchanan when he came in and O'Haire. It's called being "the next big thing".
Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted March 21, 2002 Does this guy really do the Shooting Star? This I gotta see. As for Lesnar being a reason to watch the WWF, I'll wait to see how he fares in a 15 minute match before I make him out to be the next messiah of wrestling. Guest treble charged Report post Posted March 21, 2002 I never said that Lesnar had potential, I've never seen him wrestle. I have, however, seen him destroy Molly and Hurricane, and I saw how FUCKING MASSIVE he was.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted March 21, 2002 Lesnar can work, and his shooting star is site to see...I thought I remembered him being shorter though. I kinda wish they would have brought in Sheldon Benjamin (sp) along with him...I would have loved to see the Minnesota Stretching Crew in the WWF...would liven up the tag divison. And I am glad they did bring him in...every year JR says "After Wrestlemania we're bringing in some of the development talent", and this year they FINALLY do. Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted March 21, 2002 I'm excited because the last developmental talent they brought in was Angle. Lesnar has high expectations, but he's so friggin' scary huge that he just might meet them. And he's NEW! I don't care if he's curtain-jerking or whatever, he's a totally new face. Guest The Masked Yodeler Report post Posted March 21, 2002 I've seen Brock wrestle, and he's more than competent. He's not as good as Angle was when Angle came in, but he's still pretty good. And wrestling all the talented guys in the WWF will help him improve as a wrestler.
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted March 21, 2002 He's new blood, and compared to Hall, Nash and Hogan he is amazingly exciting. I hope more monsters are on their way - Leviathan, Prototype, O'Haire.
Guest Report post Posted March 21, 2002 I don't want to see those three in any time soon. I want guys like Raven and Hugh Morrus to get a chacne to get over first. Anyone else think Lesnar has a strange build. He didn't even look human a couple times! He looks like Crash Holly's big roid mosnter brother. Lesnar is not that tall either. He is 6 foot 3. Fuck even on Raw he looked about as tall as Spiek for some reason! I was like WTF is up with this?!?!?!?!!? If you also look at Raw look how his face looks kind of Asianish when he's screaming come on! come on! to Al Snow. Weird ay?
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted March 21, 2002 Hugh Morrus?!?!
Guest Report post Posted March 21, 2002 What’s wrong with big Hugh? Hey remember when he did that Merry Xmas form the WWF promo on a Smackdown commercial break once? It was funny they picked him since he was fired in kayfabe and he was never a big player in the WWF to begin with. Didn’t he flub his line too?
Guest Mystery Eskimo Report post Posted March 21, 2002 He's ok, I just don't ever see him being a main eventer or even in the upper card.
Guest Report post Posted March 21, 2002 I didn't say he should be a main but he should get a shot to be productive.
Guest buffybeast Report post Posted March 21, 2002 If Brock lives up to his supposed potential and all the hype, I definitely see him as upper mid card or ME in 2-3 years.
