Guest SP-1 Report post Posted March 25, 2003 Good show for one that it appears had to be kind of cobbled together quickly. Stairway to Oblivion is going to RULE.

LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted March 25, 2003 I liked the show. Is it just me or is the Cappa/Naz/PRL match getting more buildup than any match on AngleMania 2? No offense, but most of RtAM was about that match and I could have sworn one of the segments tonight was a repeat.
Guest Michael Joel Benoit Report post Posted March 25, 2003 Yes, one of the segments infact was a repeat of a segment from last week's IntenseZone. There was suppose to be a PRL vs. Sandman vs. Reject Triple Threat match for this week's show, but I went to visit my Grandmother all day yesterday, plus when I got home, my computer froze, and I had to spend some time waiting for it to unfreeze (because my computer is SOOO slow), and thus, didn't have enough time to write it. It's times like that that I wish I had a laptop! I don't think PRL/Naz/TMC is getting the most build-up. It's one of the matches that getting more hype but it's not the only one. The Tag Title match is getting build-up pretty well, IMO. Btw, I liked the show. I didn't read TMC's match beforehand, but I liked it. And MarioLogan is becoming one of my favorite characters in the OAOAST. The AngleMania match will be ready by March 28th. We are gonna blow the roof off the Tokoyo Dome! Guest SP-1 Report post Posted March 25, 2003 Do you guys think that writing the Tag Titles match in that same, quick paced style, only alot longer in length would be a good move? Part of me wants to do that in the interests of time and getting alot done, but part of me wants to write a frickin' mini-novel of arse kicking.

Be open to improvisation. Don't get locked into a pattern. That's the best advice I can give. I try to use a template match for IZ Matches, just to help pacing and near-falls. (I used UT vs. RVD from Vengeance 2001 for the Undisputed match.) Incedentially, were you satisfied with our match Undisputed?
Guest SP-1 Report post Posted March 25, 2003 I thought about pitting two similar teams against one another in EWR and taking a look at how it puts matches together. I generally like EWR matches.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted March 25, 2003 I thought about pitting two similar teams against one another in EWR and taking a look at how it puts matches together. I generally like EWR matches. I always thought EWR matches were a mish-mashing of big moves and cliched ctachphrases. I would suggest doing the following: 1. Pattern your matches after a specific style of tag-team wrestling, then watch all you can to see what good points of the formula are present, and what you caan do to make each match unique from what the wrestlers actually do. 2. Put together a "sketch" of the match. It's a road map that just has what spots happen when in the match. 3. Flesh it out, with all the cool stuff you see on TV. Guest Sandman9000 Report post Posted March 25, 2003 I really should get around to writing a guide on how to write matches. It's up there with my CZW TOD, COD4, and BOTB2 reviews.
Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted March 27, 2003 the zack/as match has been built for 9 months? Geez Popick lets no give away to much information there. [/sarcasm] Pretty good show that I just got around to reading. I still find it hard to read without any bold or italics though.
