DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2003 I hope this doesn't take away from a WrestleMania Crossface (and it shouldn't) and the fact that no one really knows who Drew_K is (my friend Drew), but we just had what I consider, possibly out of bias, to have a really insightful and interesting discussion about WrestleMania which I intend to make the majority of Thursday's update. Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted March 26, 2003 I really see no problem with a discussion about Wrestlemania but as long as it doesn't follow the Crossface format where you predict winners and match quality, I see no reason to omit the discussion from your column. However, we do stress that you don't create your own Wrestlemania predictions thread. having 20+ writers with their own predictions thread would muddle up the front page and be rather redundant material to showcase on the sight. In the future, I highly encourage you to take part in the staff discussions. Most of the guys who take part seem to really enjoy them. Sidenote- No disrespect Stephen, but when you wrote for the Smarks I never read your material. At TSM, I make it a point to read every single article on the site. DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted March 26, 2003 Ok.. I was going to lie and act like I didn't read this and go ahead with my column, but that would be dishonest. Yes, my discussion with Andrew is actually very close to the Crossface format. The difference is, to me, we're just two guys talking about WrestleMania to preview it while the Crossface is a big panel. The whole thing took me almost 2 hours (long conversation, editing it from AIM to normal text) and the fact is I think it would be a real shame if I just deleted it. In fairness, the only time that a star rating is used is when I say "Angle vs Brock won't be the ***** classic some people thought it might be", so in my mind, that makes it different enough that I'll print it. This will be the last time I do it, though. With this new info I've given, I shall wait for word on whether I should post it or not. If I knew how to take part in the staff discussion, I would have (I never got to be in a 411 Roundtable and I was hoping I could be in a Crossface over here). Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted March 29, 2003 i'm still waiting for a copy of black & white . besides that, since its inception, the two staff members who have been most eager to participate in the crossface have been tom and teke. i have no problem making sure that these two have every chance to join the discussion since they have been its most loyal particpants. but since you have made your grievance known, in the future, i will make sure you are aware and try and get you onboard more often.
