Guest TheMikeSC Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 The issue is that these protestors don't actually want to have anything to do with Iraqis. They don't want to work any harder than taking a Sharpie to poster board and would rather have MY tax dollars go to helping a foreign country instead of improving education or even roads. No, I'd say they would rather have tax dollars going to improving our roads and education AND foreign countries rather than returned into the pockets of billionaires. Which it'd be darned ironic, since the younger protestors tend to hail from rich families. -=Mike
Guest TheMikeSC Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 Yeah Boss Tones fan you're right. Screw the Iraqi chidlren. This whole mission is to liberate them (so they say) but it's much more easier to dismiss concerns for their well-being as whiny-bitchy arguments. Was it whiny and bitchy when we mourned for the 9/11 victims? Hmm, we're trying to bring in humanitarian aid. The Republican Guard is firing on civilians trying to leave Basra. Yup, WE must be the bad guys. -=Mike
Guest TheMikeSC Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 It's mine damn it -- I earned it, I should get to keep it Thats the problem. Most of these Fortune 500 guys did not earn that money. They have their workers do EVERYTHING for them. They just sit back and reap benefits. I love this theory that CEO'S don't actually ever do ANY work whatsoever. You have NO idea the kind of hours CEO's have to put in to move up the ladder. -=Mike
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted March 28, 2003 Report Posted March 28, 2003 How, then, did GW Bush become CEO of Harken Industries?
Guest dreamer420 Posted March 29, 2003 Report Posted March 29, 2003 I wish I was in a position to do some protesting. Bush is a warmonger and his government is is fastly becoming a Nazi regime. The world won't be safe until Bush is out of the white house.

First you said most of them come from rich families, and now you say they don't bathe......at least be consistent.

The problem is that I live somewhere where protests aren't taking place because of small population. BTW, if I give you a couple of bucks would run out and grab a clue?

Guest Tyler McClelland Posted March 29, 2003 Report Posted March 29, 2003 Someone address the Bush in Harken Energies thing.
Guest MrRant Posted March 29, 2003 Report Posted March 29, 2003 I believe everyone already knows my stance on hippies.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Posted March 29, 2003 Report Posted March 29, 2003 "Bush is a warmonger and his government is is fastly becoming a Nazi regime." I guess all U.S. Jews better head for Israel or something...

Guest Tyler McClelland Posted March 29, 2003 Report Posted March 29, 2003 Mike, argue Bush in Harken Energies, please.
Guest B-X Posted March 30, 2003 Report Posted March 30, 2003 He can't Tyler. He'd be forced to look foolish for lack of knowledge on the matter, rather then looking foolish for his childish remarks, as are the norm lately.

Because I'm not backing all the pro-america bullshit right now. 9/11 was a horrible day and I would love to see those involved brought to justice but ever since that day you yankee bastards think that you live in a society that is greater than everyone elses in the world. The reality is that the world is getting tired of all the USA crap but no one is in any place to do anything about it because the United States is too much of a powerful force full of hypocrites refusing to live by the strength of their of convictions.
Guest DrTom Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 ... but ever since that day you yankee bastards think that you live in a society that is greater than everyone elses in the world. Um... that's because we do. That's not jingoism. Merely the truth. If you disagree, please name a better one and support your choice.
Guest bob_barron Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Eh- I'm a mark for Lichenstein myself.

Um... that's because we do. That's not jingoism. Merely the truth. If you disagree, please name a better one and support your choice. No you don't. Your leader is fucking moron. You get no respect from any other countries, besides the ones kissing the US's ass. 9/11 was a horrible day and I was really sad that it happened but move on all ready. Don't go to war with a country that isn't able to properly defend itself against the weapons on mass desruction that the US is using against them.
Guest bob_barron Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Why don't you name a country that's better then the US instead of spouting off your liberal bullshit and your OMG BUSH IS A MORON BAN PLZ!~ argument. Why don't give you facts or sources or name a better country then the US instead of just spouting some ridicilous statements. Oh and until you have 3,000 people from your state die in one die, including someone from your town you can talk about "moving on already."
Guest B-X Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 I hear Switzerland is pretty stable. Canada looks good too, except the state-paid health care system is dying, I understand. And really, the fell-bad shit is all well and good, but how well did you really know this one person from your town? I know a guy who's brother went to college with a lady who babysat for a man who's boss had a son who played ball with another kid who's dad worked with someone who had a sister who died in New York on 9/11. I've moved on.

Oh and until you have 3,000 people from your state die in one die, including someone from your town you can talk about "moving on already." Canada, Spain, Italy, France, hell even Mexico. Do you want me to go on? Doesn't it bother you that Osama Bin Laden has slipped though the US's fingers a few times now and since he can't be brought to justice, the US has decided to bully Iraq because it is the next best alternative in their eyes. It's too bad that Clinton couldn't have served another term in office. Gas prices wouldn't be at a ridiculous high, and at least there would be some peace in the world instead of the US and the UK sending their armed forces off to die un-necessary deaths in friendly fire and helicopter accidents. Anyway I'm done on this conversation. Talking about the United States is a subject I usually try to stay away from because of what a joke it has become.
Guest bob_barron Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Mexico- A country whose peso is piss poor and has had years of economic struggle is better then the US? HAH What country takes up more of the world economy then any other country? The US What country gives more aid to any other country then the US? Looks around- nope- no one You basically just looked through a World Almanac and randomnly picked some countries. Canada's dollar is shit and yet it's better then the US? And for someone who is vehemently anti-war it's funny that you put Spain down. We are still looking for Osama Bin Laden as evidenced by various reports of us almost capturing him. We are still hunting terrorists obviously as evidenced by a raid on a terror cell in Afghanistan the day the war started. Maybe we're going after Saddam Hussein because he has violated various UN Resolutions and also funds terror. Gas prices are ridiciulously high because gas companies know they can raise them and no get any flack. would be some peace in the world instead of the US and the UK sending their armed forces off to die un-necessary deaths in friendly fire and helicopter accidents. Anyway I'm done on this conversation. Talking about the United States is a subject I usually try to stay away from because of what a joke it has become. Translation: I know absolutely nothing about what I'm talking about so I'm gonna leave so I don't get embarassed any further
Guest Powerplay Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 The key word is "most". Although, for every Harken Energies (Bush Jr. taking over on his father's name), there's a Microsoft. Tyler got himself, so there isn't any real reason to address it =-\.
Guest Tyler McClelland Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Nah, I just wanted someone to argue Harken with me, since everyone loves to defend Bush It's a trap, really. Whomever actually decides to argue it with me is going to get annihilated, and that's not even me being egotistical.

Guest Tyler McClelland Posted March 31, 2003 Report Posted March 31, 2003 Well, the topic's dead, dammit. ARGUE~! I just know it gives me the upper hand when someone argues Bush's ethics
