Backlash promo poster

Recommended Posts

Has anybody else seen either of the Baclash promo posters that I've seen for this year?

Here's one:

Another shot:

The Story

I, like the guy who posted it on his site, have no clue how valid this is.

The second one, I can't find on the net. It's in a DirectTV promo booklet I got in the mail.

The layout is this:

Team Angle, in silhouette, standing on the olympic winners podium. Kurt in the middle, Hass and Benjamin on either side.

The background is Team Angle headshots:

Kurt in the middle wearing his TA hoodie jacket. Hass and Benjamin on either side, behind him, looking at Kurt out of the corner of thier eyes.

So......I would think that the Angle poster was made before Kurt found out about his neck, so maybe the Goldberg poster is legit. I doubt it though.

The thing is, maybe Kurt was supposed to keep his title at Mania, along with Hass and Bengamin winning also, and that's why they're standing on the winner's podium. I don't know.

Another thing, the way they're looking at Kurt, it's like thier planning on beating him down.......

Just thought youse guys would like to see/hear about this.

Thoughts?

All I know is a professional graphics designer, for example someone whom the WWE would pay to do banners for ppv's, probably wouldn't cut off half of Goldberg's arm...

Look at his right arm where the elbow pad is. Yeah...that's fake.

That's hilariously fake.

1. Look at the WWE logo. It;s a castrasted WWF one.

2. Look at the date for the PPV. The 7 is blatently tacked on.

It's last year's poster done up in Photoshop, by a 14-year-old.

just a reminder of the dark dooming days ahead for the WWE with Crapberg involved.

the 7 in the date looks fake, and if the PPV is on the 13th then we know its fake..

The tiny vertical text in between Goldberg and the Backlash logo says "World Wrestling Federation".

And yes, the 7 is horribly tacked on. Not only is this a Photoshop creation, but a badly done one at that.

I......pretty much realised it was fake guys. The only reason I bothered to post it, was because it said PRELIMINARY poster, which you would know if you'd bothered to click the link I left. :P

heh, no biggie. I was thinking it might be in the early stages, because they had to change from the real one, which I described in my post.

Don't read too much into promo posters. A few years back, WCW had Warrior on their Souled Out 99 poster. He was gone by then. The same can be said for many others. Triple H was prominately featured on the Armageddon 01 poster - he didn't even appear on camera.

Man, TPWW certainly likes to post bullshit.

So a "preliminary" poster consists of last year's poster being hacked up by Photoshop, with a minimal amount of effort put in. Yup.

unless ther was something there, like another guys hand or arm. Sometimes, its about what you have to work with, and they could have been given that picture to work with and said, use this. That happens quite a lot really in the field.

You would think that if you were you were going to do a fake WWE promo poster that you would at least not make a bunch of huge, noticeable errors.

Not to mention, "One Man's Journey to Stand Alone" was LAST YEAR'S SLOGAN for HHH, wasn't it? WWE can at least come up with a new tagline.

Fizake.

No fuckin shit Bob.

If you guys would bother to actually read what I wrote, instead of looking at the lame Goldberg pic, hitting reply and saying "FAKE! OMG!!GAY OFCHBGH!!!" then you might have seen that I described the *real* promo poster. TWICE! Jesus.....

While we're posting fake Goldberg promo posters....

At least this one doesn't look as glaringly fake as the first one. I'd certainly question putting the belt on his shoulder though as far as realism though.

But here is the Team Angle Backlash poster mentioned earlier on
