Just got one!

 

I've been playing through season mode as Brock Lesnar. Won the King of the Ring to face Booker T, but the title was moved to Edge on a SmackDown. Beat him at Vengeance, then slowly made my way over to Raw. Didn't tell my tag buddy Kurt Angle about it. Flair & Brock shake hands, Kurt interferes and beats up Brock. Next week on Raw is Kurt vs Brock, Brock wins. Then on SmackDown, I see:

 

TORNADO TAG

Brock Lesnar

Chris Benoit

VS

Kurt Angle

Kurt Angle

 

The match begins. During the CPU entrance, Kurt's music starts and Kurt and Bradshaw come down to the ring at the same time but Kurt is announced solo. They do their individual animations but then once the match starts, it's two Angles in appearances, moves, and nameplates.

 

Now, while Brock/Benoit vs Kurt/Kurt could be ***** MOTY stuff, it doesn't make very much sense in this universe. Although I am glad to see the booking system is smarky enough to just make a clone of Kurt rather than let Bradshaw stink up a ring.

Well, I doubt I'll be seeing that. I changed alliances to Raw, so now Raw has Austin, Rock, Undertaker, Brock, Benoit, etc. All SmackDown has for top talent is Kurt, Booker, Edge, and RVD (who is IC champ and rather underpushed, usually hanging around with Goldust in openers)

This isn't a bug or anything, but in my season as Hurricane, I'm going into a tag team match against Chris Jericho. That's fine and dandy. The problem that I have is that my partner is Rikishi and his is A-Train..that's just gay. Couldn't he have just had Tajiri for a partner instead? And couldn't I have gotten Maven or somebody on my side? Not Rikishi...

IF we are going to add blunders to this as well. Everyone already knows my KotR horror at the hands of Test.

 

Just for the short reminder to everyone who forgets or doesn't know. I fought Test in the final match of KotR with that oh so lovely Undisputed Championship Contendership on the line.

 

Well, anyways I had Test beat and just got back into the ring, figuring that with two Smacks, it'd be more than enough to clean his clock.

 

Apparently someone (ie: me) forgot to check to see if he had an S cause he had. Guess what? I didn't know the Big Boot didn't need to have me groggy.

 

To say I was floored in everyway possible would be an understatement.

Ok that's pretty bad. Yet, I lost my title in a triple threat once.

Guess who I lost it too. If you said Edge, boy are you correct. And I lost it cause he pinned Angle.

 

I waited a full year (more or less) before I got that title shot back. I had to win it at SS. What's worse? Edge was the guy I had to beat.

 

That's right, Edge held the belt till I could reclaim it. The bastard was ducking me every time I turned around. Thankfully at SS I cleaned his clock.

 

...yes. I've had a lot of weird happenings with SYM.

This might be a stupid question, but can you actually be more than one champion at a time? I've won and defended the HC title for half a year, my points are 98 and I haven't had a single title shot.

Yeah. As my CAW Panther I was reigning Euro and Undisputed Champ for more than a year...and then lost them to Mark Henry and Big Show respectively...

I think it was KOTR what pissed me off intially the first season I went through is they slap you in the cage match, thats almost a gurantee lost if you don't get out of the cage, and the puter always seem to get up to the top faster...

 

And another thing....If its a Cage match Why can't you ram the guy's face into the cage? Why only hell in a cell you can do that?

So far, my Brock's only singles loss came to the Undertaker at Backlash. I have no idea how it happened. I was going on fine and dandy and getting ready to capture the belt in my very first month, then Taker pimp-slapped me far, far down the card.

 

Next month at Judgment Day, I was in a retirement match with Scotty 2 Hotty.

Newest stupidity: I went into Edit mode and edited Brock's finisher, changing the powerbombs to the SSP. The SSP is not only kinda weak (it seems like I can only get the pin with it on jobbers) but thanks to the camera angle I can't tell if I hit my opponent or not, making it seems like I miss and ought to just stick to F5 instead.

Here's my glitch- druing almost every match a warning screen pops up saying my controller isn't plugged in, then after a second or two goes to the pause menue.

 

Oh, and It keeps pushing Chuck. Everytime I get a partner, it's freakin' Chuck! It's like when Bradshaw kept getting partnered with Austin.

Has ANYONE managed to win the Armageddon HIAC?

 

I always lose and we get some weird one-month champion like Kane before I destroy him at the Rumble.

The Armageddon HIAC is a TOUGH match to win, but it is possible.... pick the weakest superstar and try to focus on him.... beat him down when possible and then get a submission hold on him... a Smackdown submission hold if possible (such as the Anglelock or Flair's figure-four). Trying to get a pinfall is extremely hard, but I have done that as well... again, isolate the weakest wrestler and fill up the meter, and execute.... try and be as far from the action as possible when you go for the pin.

All I did was run to the outside. Then when everybody is outside I run up the cage. Fight on top of the cage some and then German Suplex somebody on top of the cage thru the weak part of the cage. If anybody tries coming down they fall, or they're outside the ring. Then just pin and win

NWO, my CAW (points at name) and HHH picked people to wrestle for the WM title shot, He picked Booker T. I picked Steve Austin, sure enough..Steve Austin wins and HHH gets MY title shot..damn that pissed me off. Oh..and Wuken vs HHH vs Jeff Hardy vs Jeff Hardy was odd.

at one point my CAW had the euro title, the hardcore title, the undisputed title *and* the tag team titles.... holding onto the euro title is nothing as you only defend it during Rebellion and Insurrextion, though.... once you win it its yours for however long you want it.

 

by far the hardest title to retain is the hardcore, as you are put into three-ways, four-ways, five-ways and six-ways constantly... very hard to win under those odds, but possible.

 

Today, after losing the Undisputed title to Eddy Guerrero, I was put in a six-way elimination match for the #1 contender spot... I was *quite* pleased with myself when I beat all of the other five by pinfall...

I lost the last time I played it (as Panther), but in my season with Booker T, I always managed to fluke out a win...usually hitting Taker with a schoolboy or something...

 

And speaking of FLUKES...I'm playing as my CAW Joanie Laurer (SHUT UP~!), and a second ago I had a 4 way escape only cage match against Eddy, Tajiri and Maven. Now the bell rings, I go at Maven and Tajiri goes at Eddy. Now...and I'm still trying to figure out how this happened...Tajiri kicks Eddy...poses...and Eddy calmly walks by him and climbs out of the cage. The match lasted all of 5 seconds. WTF????!

Cage matches are very annoying in that regard, in that they can last either for 10 minutes or be over in 10 seconds.... usually in a regular cage match, build up the smackdown, lay it on him and boogie, unless of coure you want to dive off the top of the cage, which I did once.... in tag matches, let your partner escape first, have one smackdown available, hit one opponent with it and hit another opponent with your strongest move to lay him out, then start climbing for your life....

Actually you or one of your opponents should get out first in a cage match, then the other, so the only guys in the ring are your cpu parter and one cpu opponent. Every time the cpu opponent tries to climb the cage, kick or punch it so he falls. Keep doing it til your partner escapes. Easy as that.
