Guest ViciousFish Report post Posted March 29, 2003 And Carlos Colon was called a youngster in 1993 by the WWF...etc etc... We could start a whole other thread on WWF Story errors (And have done so many times...) Totally missed the point
Guest tank_abbott Report post Posted March 29, 2003 Well if you want to get technical HULKAMANIA was running wild since 1982 in the AWA, so that would be 21 years in the making.... Yes because wrestling is always completely true to the facts....remember HBK threw Marty Jannety through the window 15 years ago. This is what I was talking about...flaws in Historical retellings of the past (Was that redundant?)
Guest the pinjockey Report post Posted March 29, 2003 I don't deny there are some marks who want to see this match, I also know for a fact that the people I talk to about it ask questions like "Why are 80 year olds fighting?" I also think this thread is completely pointless, because noone doubts that there are some people who want to see the match and to drag up one example. wave it around thinking it means something is completely asinine. Guest Angle-plex Report post Posted March 29, 2003 It's time to face facts. People are getting Wrestlemania for the Benoit/Rhyno vs Los Guerreros vs Team Angle match, and Angle vs Brock only.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted March 29, 2003 To the original poster: that's not a very precise sampling. So while there are no doubt people who want to see the match, that isn't any indication it will translate into buys for that match. There are certain wrestling fans that will watch anything--I've heard people who laughed about Necrophilia starring HHH. If a great deal of people walk out during the Hogan/Vince match, than that indicates that they don't give a shit about that match. So we shall see. I've seen smarks and marks alike who either don't give a shit, want Vince to win because they hate Hogan, or would like to see them kill each other. Probably not what they are shooting for as far as attention.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted March 29, 2003 Which is Why Vince NEEDS to be smart and FORCE people to watch it by holding out The TWO REAL main events until aftr his match... I keep Saying Limp Bizkit will perform Halftime...Let McMahon/Hogan kick off the second half...
Guest Brian Report post Posted March 29, 2003 I paid to see a show, I'm going to get my chair, and I'm going to stick around. Fuck, I'm going to read my bserver during the match, but I'm not walking out on it. It's not worth it. It's never woth it. It's stupid to walk out on a match. Guest Choken One Report post Posted March 29, 2003 That is pretty fucking lame reading the Observer during Mania...Interact with the crowd...Don't be a fly...
Guest Brian Report post Posted March 29, 2003 If it's the last match, I'm definately not interested. Two fifty year olds wrestling for twenty plus minutes. If I don't bring something to read I'll fall asleep.
Guest Brian Report post Posted March 29, 2003 Side note: I actually was hoping Triple H would be in the autograph line because I had brought an old copy of the Observer for him to autograph.
Guest Coffey Report post Posted March 29, 2003 If it's the last match, I'm definately not interested. Two fifty year olds wrestling for twenty plus minutes. If I don't bring something to read I'll fall asleep. I highly doubt you could fall asleep with 50k people around you talking and yelling. Cake.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted March 29, 2003 Not Really...I fell asleep with 150,000 fans and 43 Race cars screeching by me at 155 miles per hour...THAT IS HARD!
Guest Brian Report post Posted March 29, 2003 I can fall asleep in a lot worse conditions. I fell asleep in the middle of a storm in the ferry from the Main Island to the province in the Phillipines. Those things are shaky, and my girlfriend was supposedly screaming her head off.
Guest Celtic Jobber Report post Posted March 30, 2003 I think the guy on Fark was being sarcastic as in "wow, two 70 year old geezers wrestling! I'll pay to see that!"
Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted March 31, 2003 I Want to see Hogan vs. Vince!!!! Granted i'm not mentally stable, but still I WANNA SEE IT! AAAHAHAHAHAHA!! (runs with a butcher knife)
