Guest Redhawk Posted March 30, 2003 Report Posted March 30, 2003 I had heard that this guy was a real smug jackass, but up until tonight I hadn't been watching any war coverage so I had no idea. Well, after watching CNN for like 3 minutes, I see why people think he's a dick. The setup: One of CNN's female on-site correspondents was talking about how the Iraqi/Middle Eastern media is covering the war's events. She holds up a copy of the Arab News newspaper, which has the headline "Shopping Maul," (in English) talking about an explosion in an Iraqi mall. So she starts to move on to the next topic, and Brown goes, "Now wait, wait. Stop!" all rude as hell. Then he says, "Could you hold that paper up again? I'm curious...is that supposed to be a play on words, or did they actually spell 'shopping mall' wrong?" I can't say if this is a regular thing, but Brown really seems like a fucktard on-air. Anyone else noticed this?
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Posted March 30, 2003 Report Posted March 30, 2003 This is hilarious, we were just talking at home about how useless he is. Brown is way too bland, and he spends tons of time giving blowjobs to all the embedded reports every time he talks to them.
Guest Downhome Posted March 30, 2003 Report Posted March 30, 2003 I've all but stopped watching CNN because of shit like this.
Rob E Dangerously Posted March 30, 2003 Report Posted March 30, 2003 Aaron Brown's certainly better than the one dumb chick they have on after 1 or 2 am CST
Guest Kotzenjunge Posted March 30, 2003 Report Posted March 30, 2003 But she's hot, so she's better. Anyways, Brown became annoying for me during the coverage last weekend of the Umm Qasr fighting. He kept saying over and over and OVER again how the media was doing this for the first time and that for the first time. But after 2 or 3 AM or whenever it is, that girl takes over and she talks to their Kuwait City correspondent who is also hot, and it's all good.
Guest ISportsFan Posted March 30, 2003 Report Posted March 30, 2003 CNN is pretty worthless these days. My favorite Fox News dig at CNN was as follows (paraphrase)... "CNN cancelled Connie Chung's show, even though it had a 104% increase in ratings over the previous host." Jason
