Our opinion isn't as important to Vince as the ones of average viewers/ He knows people like me, you, and other hardcore fans will stick around. Its the average viewers he is losing. By bringing back Goldberg, Hogan, Nash, and such he is trying to get THEM back. Unfortuntely, we are in the minority. I admit to a degree I have settled for a mediocre product. There are a billion things I'd do to change it, but I've just learned not to take it too seriously. Maybe one day you'll be at the same point of indifference I am at. I have also invested 15 years of my life to wrestling, but as I've gotten older, I have realized other things are more important than wrestling. I also watch UFC and MMA when I can. I still love wrestling when I can get it. Rudo, did you know they have MMA/boxing/UFC stuff on TSN every saturday night? Its boss. Tha makes me happy. Regal isn't taking up a main event slot like Shawn Michaels is and he doesn't get feuds built around him for three months. He's basically a midcard player while Shawn is a main event player. There's a big difference Ehhh Michaels is a bit player on the show. You can't say anything is being built around him. He isn't Main Eventing or having the show revolving around him. He was one segment per show, which is different than the Trips, Austins, and Rockys who are the actual Main Eventers. I don't see a problem with Michaels. You think he would feel anything? I don't. If he cared about you he would respect your intelligence - but it gets insulted on a nightly basis. With every plot hole, with every history-skewed, with every blatent shill... You may just see that as "the WWE being the WWE", but I see it as a slap in the face. He's taking up a spot that could be used for someone else. I didn't mind him hogging the spotlight as long as he put over Jericho. He didn't so thus his role in the company is useless. Jericho looks like a complete baby now and his character has been pretty damaged. The point of the feud was Jericho trying to establish himself by defeating his idol at the biggest stage of them all in front of the entire world. Now Jericho gets to get his job back at Backlash! I've heard some of the crowd reactions to Michael's promos and I've heard Regal get booed and it sounds like there's more of a reaction when Regal does something then when Shawn is out there going: NEWWWWWWWWWW world champion. Regal does have business being in the company- He's a great promo man with excellent charisma and a decent worker to boot. HBK doesn't really have good wrestling matches. He had one at Summerslam that pretty much relied on crowd heat and it being his big comeback and them overbooking it to perfection. At Mania he got carried by Chris Jericho. Regal doesn't take up Pay Per Views with 45 minute snoozefests or earn his pay by doing run-ins and doing one move. At least he actually wrestles to earn his pay. What about his promo on 5.17.01 where he gave Triple H a tounge lashing and as a heel recieved a huge face pop. That wasn't a snob promo and neither was his promo at No Way Out. I gave the tag match at No Way Out 2003 ***1/4 IMO. Regal was never in ECW BTW. And saying he hasn't done shit since 1994 is inaccurate. In 2000 he had a MOTYC and dominated the Memphis territory. b) You're probably forgetting Armageddon where Shawn and Triple H battled in a 2/3 falls snoozefest that lasted around 40 minutes.
