Well, taking in to account the fact that their sound is supposed to mock the type of overblown bombastic sound and look it's a great parody.

I prefer the soundtrack album to Break Like the Wind, because on Break they started to sound, dare I say, serious.

Oh and the movie is a piece of genius.

I love Spinal Tap. My favorite track would be "Hell Hole," but I love "Bitch School" too. I think the genius of them as a band is that they are so dead on that they could be a real hair metal band. When you can cross that line of parody and satire to produce something that is still fun and good to listen too, you've hit something rare. I'm intrigued to see if the boys can do the same with the upcoming "Mighty Wind." But going from glam rock/hair metal to folk is a hell of a jump.

Seeing them live was one of my all time favorite concerts. They assured us that "Stonehenge" would go off without a hitch this time. Of course a Fed-EX man then delivered a stonehenge smaller than the one in the movie.

Since they couldn't truly 'explode' the drummer like in the movie, sothey had him trip and fall, chevy chase-style, from his kit down this big staircase when it was time for the final bow.
