How long before hunter starts piping in chants?

Recommended Posts

Guest Anglesault

Well, we all know that HHH is NOT over as a face, but for some reason (Maybe because he is INTENSE!!!!) he is still world champion. Now maybe the fans can't get into him, maybe they don't get that he is INTENSE(!) but something had to be done. The logical thing would be for Hunter to drop the strap and turn heel, but this is Hunter we are talking about. So, he'll probably pipe in crowd heat for himself. Seeing as how he got a good reaction in Ottawa, has he started already? Or does that just fit Bizarro Canada where they booed Rocky? Should Hunter start if he hasn't?

I say that he should take the pops that they took away from RVD earlier in the year and pipe them in for HHH.

Those are world title quality pops.

It wasn't piped in Ottawa, but he still didn't get as a good a reaction as Hogan, Rock, RVD or even Edge.  Ottawa is just loud.

HHH seemed to enjoy the reaction he got on Raw. Probably because thats been the only time people chanted his name. :) I wouldn't be surprised at all if they pipe in pops or chants.

Yeah...he did his usual...stand around and milk every last noise he could get.

Did anyone else notice how you couldn't hear the chant until the camera went to right in front of the crowd...and then you caould hear the same chant at the same decible level when they cut back to the ring?

hmmm....Methinks they left the audio from the mic in the crowd on.

And whycome I haven't had to hear that people only chant "HHH" because it's easy to do...Are they "ECW mutants" too?

lol, all true bps, hhh is *very* easy to chant, even easier than rvd!! on the topic though, its only a matter of time before he pipes in the pop, after all he cant be upstaged by such "no-talents" as rvd or edge.  and i think the whole ottawa thing was just wacky canada, he might pop ok in his first week in the us as champ, but i wouldnt give him too much longer than that.

They should definately pipe in the RVD chants for HHH.  Don't even edit out the fact the fans are screaming R-V-D.  As long as he has noise, he can bask in it.  When everyone's done chanting and ready for him to speak, he can ask for another round of applause for himself.

Or he can just claim they are chanting "Tri-ple H!" but an INTENSE version!

In HHH's defense, ALOT of people have done that.  He did put the brakes on whatever he was going to say once he heard the chanting though.

I also got the impression that  group of  fans were just chanting just to gut their mugs on the TV. They all had that Stephanie "LOOK, IM ON TV" expression on their faces.

I didn't mean to reference it as an attack on that particular interview...

I posted previously about the HHH ring enterance, and how he manipualtes people into thinking he is over.

His music hits...pop

the pop starts to fade...

He comes out to the enterance way...pop

the pop starts to fade

He walks to the ring...small pop

the pop starts to fade

He stands on the ring apron...small pop

the pop starts to fade

He spits water...pop

the pop starts to fade

He does that gay pose...pop

the pop starts to fade

He poses in the ring...small pops

After about 4 minutes of this the match starts.

It almost seems like one sustained pop.

Almost

Kind of

No, not really. But Hunter is INTENSE~!

Bps, has it ever occured to you that if HHH wasn't over, that the fans wouldn't pop for him ONE time, let alone the ten or so times you've said? You just ruined your entire argument trying to be funny.

Someone, in their vain attempt to attack me, has ONCE AGAIN not taken the time to find out where I am coming from.

My "entire" argument is that HHH is not over enough to be world champion.

He's not as over as Hogan, Rock, Austin, RVD....that makes him at least 5th...although Edge, Taker and when Flair wrestles....Flair...are more over than him.

Thanks though..

Looking forward to the next groundless attack.

He wasn't trying to be funny.  What he said is true.  Someone like Austin has sustained pops.  HHH doesn't.  He gets them with the various stages of his ring entrance, and they still aren't as loud as Austin's (or Hogan's or Rock's...)

And when you get that while you're holding the "richest prize in our sport", it tends to illustrate that maybe you don't deserve to be champ.

I forgot to mention the Hardys and Lita as other candidates for people more over.

Although Rasmus is right...I wasn't trying to be funny.

That's EXACTLY what he does in his enterance.

His lack of main event size pop is getting embarrasing.

Search out the thread where I chronicled his push....you can't be this much of a HHH mark that you can't see that something is wrong.

In fact...I was embarrassed for him at Mania.

Bps, I would concede to you if you weren't so biased. You, Anglesault, and Kahrun repeatedly say HHH isn't over enough to be world champ, but yet none of you wanted to admit that Chris Jericho was barely drawing mid-card heel pops while he was champion. How can I take your argument seriously if you leave out important facts and comparisons.

The only thing I have against HHH is that he was pushed to the title without being over enough...or quite frankly...good enough right now.

I liked HHH when he was good.

But right now...he's not.

And is in no way deserving of being undisputed champion.

I wouldn't attack him if he wasn't pushed so hard.

That's why I don't attack the Big Show.

Don't like him...he's no good...but he doesn't get pushed.

Jericho wasn't drawing anything near a pop while champion.  Ohh well, at least he didn't hold the title for a week, and then get it taken away for lack of heat.  Hey wait...didn't that happen to Kurt Angle after he won the title at Unforgiven?

The Hardys are not more over.  Just their fans (teenage girls)are louder (much louder).

Jericho was until they hooked up with Steph and started the HHH feud.  Jericho was very over around Royal Rumble time.

Let me tell you, I've never seen Jericho get this much heat as he is tonight. Losing those Undisputed Titles was the best thing that could have happened to him.

And you and Bps have thing backwards. Jericho was not as over as he is now without Steph. He was the most over heel in December/January becuase Kurt Angle was as heatless as Test. However, after Kurt got over again (thanks to HHH) Jericho's heat paled in comparison. I've never heard Jericho get as much heat as he did at Smackdown.

Angle didn't get over thanks to HHH.

That right there proves you are hearing what you want to.

After Angle attacked HHH on his retutn day...nothing stuck to Angle

When Angle went into his match with KAne on a future Raw...he got as close to no heat as he had ever gotten.

At the end of the match he was getting booed.

And that stuck as soon as people realized that they could say "You Suck" along with his music.

It had nothing to do with HHH...who could not sustain his own pop, let alone rub it off on anyone.

And if you've never heard Jericho get that much heat....you haven't been watching wrestling for more than a month.

Or you are making shit up to try and prove some point that doesn't exist.

Further more.

HHH came out to nothing today...and got all his cheap pops by putting down Stephanie.

For HHH's sake...Steph had better not leave TV...cause he'll be screwed.

And I just watched Brock Lesner get more over than HHH in 45 seconds into his WWF career.

It should also be noted that Jericho as a face was much more over at any time during his WWF face run then HHH as a face is now. Not once during that face run did Jericho get a World title. so why should Triple H, who is the 4th most popular face (and that's being generous), get the title when 1) his workrate sucks right now and 2) his popularity is behind other faces more deserving?

Answer: He shouldn't.

If you recall the criticisms mounting against HHH, it had nothing to do with him fucking Steph or his slow workrate or his weak-ass promos but it dealt with the position he received when he returned....the top of the ladder. He has not proven he can draw as a successful babyface so why should he grab the belts?

There's no use arguing with you. You can bleive as you wish, but you will notice that no one backed you up on the fact that HHH came out to nothing. Even Kahran admitted that HHH got a loud pop on Smackdown, him being there and all.

Your arguments and incessant bitching are worthless. You have the mentality of a 12 year old. When the NWO first returned and no one wanted to agree with your assessment of them, you ran like a coward. When you realized no one cared, you came back the next day.

I'm #### sure I'm not the only one sick and tired of your constant HHH yammering. You must be a closet HHH mark as you put the guy over more than anyone here and you bring him constantly even when the situation doesn't call for it. You hate HHH. We get it. Now move on with your life.

that post not only made no sense...but also is rather amusing that you keep replying to my comments...and then put me down for replying back.

Rasmus also said that he didn't know how it would translate on to tv.

And on tv it sounds like all of the hhh pop was around his putting Steph down.

'cos he is *INTENSE* damnit!!!  seriously though, all of trips' *work* to come back at the top and go over as a face at mania doesnt mean shit.  the crowd doesnt care about the world title, they care about rock/hogan, and this was made abundantly clear.  as somebody earlier said, this is a blessing for jericho, as he now wont be the one given the blame for sinking the belt (though they will probably blame him anyway :() i enjoyed the match at mania, though i think hhh has a case of xpac symdrome: he is living in 2001, continually making reference to his quad and 8 months on the sideline.  its time to move on buddy, you won the belts, overcame your evil wife, but the reason his pops are pissweak is that he is trying to elicit sympathy from the crowd.  the crowd wont give him that now, as he has been back 2 months and overcome all odds to win the title.  he needs to show character development and move on, not get mired down in this injury angle, which should be well and truly blown off by now.

as an aside, how stupid is it when they try to sell us that trips nearly "tore" his quad on raw last week when hit with the hammer.  there is no fucking way that an impact would tear a muscle- how stupid do they *really* think we are?
