How long before hunter starts piping in chants?

And if you've never heard Jericho get that much heat....you haven't been watching wrestling for more than a month.

Or you are making shit up to try and prove some point that doesn't exist.

I feel the same way.  I just didn't want to become involved in a batte with someone who so blatantly ignores what is actually going on.  If you think Jericho sucks, fine, I can understand that, but he got much more heat feuding with Rock & Austin than he has with HHH, and it is almost impossible to deny that without just making things up.

I hate RVD.  I don't like his style, I find his interviews boring and repetitive, and he really bugs me when I have to see him wrestle, let alone go over someone I like.  But the guy is over.  Everyone else is wrong, IMO, but they do like him regardless.

On the other hand, I really like Lance Storm as a wrestler, but he hasn't been really over since his WCW days.  I think that is because they treat him like a jobber all the time, and has nothing to do with his limitations. I think that given a fair shake he could become very over, but he isn't right now.   Not outside Canada at least.

This may be my favorite thing that you have ever said.  Everyone else is wrong...classic.

That's how I feel about Bps and to a certain extent you. I don't think Jericho sucks and I was actually glad that he had turned heel, BUT, many people besides myself have admitted that Jericho was not over enought to be world champ.

The Rock/Jericho feud had it but that's because nothing else was going on at the time. Jericho/Austin? Yeah right. You could have dropped a needle on a velvet carpet and it would have made a deafening impact as that crowd was so quiet. In my opinion, Jericho was not as over he has been in the past month. You feel differently. Bravo. But Jericho is more over without the belts and with Steph than he is with them.

Even Kahran admitted that HHH got a loud pop on Smackdown, him being there and all.

I also said that it wasn't as loud as Rock, Hogan, Edge, RVD or Mr. Perfect.  I'm not even sure it was as loud as when Tazz came out to announce Heat.  Edge, in particular, got an incredible face pop.

Who are these people?  And why do I get the feeling they aren't real.

It's as simple as putting in a tape or DVD and watching it.

He had heat at Vengeance.

He had heat at the Rumble

He had heat at No Way Out.

He had no heat at Mania.

It must be hard to argue a point thta can be disproven with facts.

He had heat at Survivor Series & No Mercy too.

####, he had heat at SummerSlam 1999 when he was working an angle with Road Dogg of all people.

About the closest I can think of limited heat for Jericho was during his Rob Van Dam feud, other than of course his current run with Steph.  And don't take too much into account the heat Jericho got on Smackdown.  It is Ottawa, wait until RAW when he is back in the states.  He will be back to no heat by then.

Hopefully, HHH will win on RAW and send Steph packing, allowing Jericho to rebuild his character.

what are you talking about midget?

I think Midget's talking about the "Strip Steph, take photo for money" contest.

thats the one tony! there is some competition if you strip steph in the ring you get money, and hence there is concern over her safety (also she wore a bodysuit at mania cos they are hard to rip off).

I did not know that.

I'm glad Steph will be leaving the tv screen but not because of some sick game (not HHH). I wish she was leaving because she realized the fans truly do not want to see her sorry self-indulgent whiny face on tv anymore.

eh, well i'll still take flair's comments from raw, *that* remark sure put a smile to my face.  also, in the end beggars cant be choosers, and if one way or another steph is gone, then i'm *all* for it!

I am going to show some restraint and not involve myself in most of this thread as I truly believe that everyone is entitled to their own opinions regardless of what I think.

I do have to pipe in for just a moment howerver...

"He's not as over as Hogan, Rock, Austin, RVD....that makes him at least 5th...although Edge, Taker and when Flair wrestles....Flair...are more over than him."

No way is Edge more over then Triple H. Not even now. I do not refer to Edge as the second coming of Billy Gun for no reason. He has been all push and no pop so far. He did have a rather splendid match this evening with Booker T however and things should pick up when he starts feuding with Angle. Time will tell.

edge does have a good pop.  it gets masked to some extent by the distortion in his entrance music at the start.  although that suggests he has undertaker's "over music" problem.  but on occasion, edge has one of the biggest pops, *easily*, and not just when in canada.

I agree with LoganHex on Edge being less over than Trips. While I enjoy Edge, his program with Regal was the pits and has certainly hurt him more than it has helped.

yeah, well regal is suicide for anybody unfortunate to be matched with him.  at least he will be rotting in euro-#### on jakked/heat now :)

Unfortunately, Jakked-Heat was a good place to watch some decent wrestling once in awhile. Unless Fit Finley is wrestling Regal on Jakked then I don't really care to watch.

well, i dont get heat here, and jakked is at 3 in the morning so as i see it, regal can go there and then only you yanks have to watch his boring, yet *INTENSE* ring-style.

where are you from midget?

And if Regal was INTENSE, he would surely have held the world title at least once by now seeing as how he is universally loved by the WWF and is required to have a belt at all times.

I'm from Melbourne, Australia.

well, regal fits my definition of *INTENSE*, he has gold about all the time, frequently involves himself in big matches and fueds, and is as boring as fuck to watch in the ring.  decent promo though, thats the only part of him which isnt *INTENSE*.

Man someone should create a Regal=HHH thread. The comparisons are eerie. Regal is like HHH Lite.

:(... different strokes for different folks, I guess.

I think RVD had a louder pop at Invasion (And he was suppose to be a HEEL) than HHH had on his return, I think--and that's scary.

Anyhow--just imagine, Regal & HHH as a tag team.  *shudders*  Too much *INTENSITY* (copyright Midget) in one ring.

It's been well established that RVD got a bigger pop when the crowd thought he beat Jericho for the title than HHH did for his return.

Now compare that pop to the one HHH got when he did win the belt...in front of nearly 70,000 people.

A good portion of them were Canadians who were not happy about their fellow Canuck getting hosed.  So, the reaction at WM may not be the best gauge of HHH's pop.  With that said, I think it caught the WWF by surprise that HHH wasnt that over after his return.  His winning the title was part of their plan since the beginning of the year.  It just happens that THIS was the one plan that they didnt abort at the first sign of trouble.  Funny how that worked, huh?

Getting back to piping. Does anyone remember Hogan/Justice when Hogan was booed at the Rumble and WM which I watched live. When I got the tapes it was cheers all the way for the Hulkster.

They did something similar with the Montreal Survivor series but not on the main tape, on a compilation. And the rather excellent video package that made out that Shane and Vince were on the ramp waving Bret goodbye.

Life in MacMahonworld must be great.

That was my second favorite part of that package. First was Savage--->Michaels--->Angle

It would definetly be noticable cause there is probably ony two times I can remember when the crowd was going "triple h!, triple H! thriple h!".. so if it starts up from nowhere we'll know
