Figures...OzzFest is a big letdown this year after heavy rumors of an ALL-METAL, ANTI-MTV tour...and now they have a bunch of bands that are typical MTV rock fodder on it...much like how the WWF hypes up everything, and then blows it lately...

Heh heh...I said "blows it"...

Well, at least they have Adema and System of a Down.  I'd go just for those two.  Too bad the closest it will come to me is Pittsburgh.

But...P.O.D.???

I hope and pray my town gets GlassJaw.

Adema is very good live, saw them on the Staind/Cold tour (cant tell you if staind was good i left to talk to Scooter from Cold, since i went to see them anyway).

How sad that Zombie has to headline the second stage now?

Two must see godsend bands on the bill as well:

Black Label Society...killer band

and

MESHUGGAH!!!! (until they drop off like they do almost every other tour)

Uh! Meshuggah and Adema are awful I think. Why do you like them? I think it's kind of weird because I've never met someone who thoguht either were any good.

Eh, does this mean there will be even more bad bands being shilled on WWF TV? The Cornell/ex-RATM collaboration seems like it could work though, but I'd never risk death in one of those crazy Ozzfest pits (not that I could, the festival is playing sorta nearby, but not close enough to be readily accessible) for any band, no matter how great it is... I just hope someone out there will tape their set.  Never heard of Meshuggah (don't listen to the radio anymore except for "classic rock" in the morning), but they've got a cool name.

evenflow...if you think Ozzfest pits are crazy...I'd hate to see you at a Slayer show...

And you will never heard Meshuggah on the radio unless it's a college station. Think old-school Fear Factory, with lots less industrial elements.

Heh.. I have no doubt about that CoreyLazarus416, I can't handle mosh-pits period.  I just don't get them, and I'm not aggressive enough to hold my own weight in them... I know everyone in this thread will laugh when I say this, but the longest I have ever lasted in a pit is 2 songs in a Living End/Green Day pit, and I started suffocating mid-first song and whined to my friend that it sucked and I wanted to leave (the pit, not the concert, I know everyone in this thread will laugh harder when I say this but Green Day is still my favorite band).  So, that's my pit story.  If anyone else has any cool/funny pit stories (since mine sucked), put 'em in a new thread, I'd be interested to hear why people do these and how they have a good time.

Adema just put on a good show. I wouldnt get their album , but they were entertaining.

Nobody plays a combination of heavy/fast/technical the way Meshuggah do. Future Breed Machine one of my fav songs ever. Ive planned to see em numerous times, but they always cancel (must be hard to leave Sweden).
