I've had it with pleasing the Arab world

Then we should scare the crap out of them. Seriously. Surround Baghdad, drop leaflets telling the Iraqis to leave within 14 days, and level the city. MOAB the hell out of it... and give Al-Jazeera and Abu Dahbi prime filming spots. Then go to Syria and massacre Hezbollah. I'm dead serious. There are two methods. Our current one or "You have no idea how big and bad the Great Satan really is."

Jesus, you're a fucking idiot.

Have to agree with that. Also, ask yourself this: if that happened (the Bagdhad one in particular), how would Iraq not be justified using a nuclear/chemical/biological weapon on the US?

How does dropping bombs on Baghdad, fall under "pleasing the arab world"? Last I checked, our "liberation" efforts, were not requested, the last time they were, we turned our backs and walked out and let hundreds of thousands of arabs get slaughtered, so it looks as if our track record on "liberating countries" is not so good.

When are people going to understand that this war is not about liberation or religion...it's about OIL.

And I say faster pusycat, drill drill...I pay WAY too much for gas.

Oh...and of course no one has asked for help being liberated...those who do are killed or (as reported on fox news) there children are hung while they watch.

Those who can't ask for help are the ones who need it most.

well yes I understand that. I didn't literally mean, "well I didn't get any phone call from an Iraqi citizen" I just meant, the last time our coalition forces were asked of for help Bush Sr. fucked them and they proceeded to get slaughtered. And of all things, now, Rumsfield says we have zero responsibility to rebuild what we are are now destroying.

Hell, Larry King Live did get a phone call from Iraq. I was sleeping off an inflamed pancreas at the time, but my dad watched as Larry interviewed someone important about liberating Iraq and an Iraqi called in with the basic statement: "Hurry up and get Saddam the hell out of power!"

I've been saying that for years, and it either adds to my psychopathic reputation, or I'll get a "Heil Logan" salute.

The point, fellas, is we are running as clean a war as possible... and we are 50 miles outside Baghdad in less than two weeks. We are minimizing civilian casualties while our troops sacrifice themselves. Yet the "Arab world" is sending in 4,000 suicide bombers, celebrating every false report of supply shortage, and calling us evil with every success. This war is about ending a horrid regime. One that hangs women who wave to our troops and tortures, rapes, and murders children to oppress its people. If the "Arab world" finds this permissible because we are the enemy... then we should give them a small taste of what happens when we stop being nice. If you don't think our country has shown incredibly heroic restraint since 9/11/01 you're kidding yourself.

2 things:

-If that scenario took place, no one would be alive to make the order.

-Iraq's not supposed to have WMD in the first place, so you can't be justified using a weapon you say you don't have under penalty of (albeit unenforced) UN action.

Operation Iraqi Liberation

Too bad it's Operation Iraqi FREEDOM...

"The Arab World" is kind of a broad general stereotype.

That's why I put quotes around it.

Paternal fundamentalist Muslim terrorists is a little cumbersome.

And that's the best response you could come up with? I must be on to something...

You may see that as uninformed jingoism, but sometimes the simple answer is the best one.

If we go and level Bagdad and murder civilians, it's certainly not us.

And there are people in Iraq who are in Favor for having Hussien lead them. Most people hate Saddam but they've got just as much reason to hate America. You're the one's dropping bombs on them now. Every civilian you kill drives the people closer into Saddam's arms.

And it's not like we're being the bad guys by coming into their country and kicking out a menace dictator, but quite frankly... nobody's happy when someone invades their country.
