WCW would have been out of business a whole of a hell lot faster. Hulk Hogan would have been stale still and maybe would have retired sooner. And Nash and Hall would of been a lot less significant in the crazy world we call wrestling.

WCW would have never signed Virgil.

Seriously though, unless WCW still went through with some type of Hogan heel turn, CanadianChick is right. Business would have faltered. Bret Hart wouldn't have had to debate going to WCW or staying with WWF, meaning he would have never signed the deal that Vince broke doing the Montreal Screwjob. That one event has effects on many things, so the world would be a totally different place. The main thing is that WCW probably wouldn't have gotten ahead in the ratings, therefore WWF may have not gone the Crash TV route, McMahon wouldn't be a character, etc.

WCW still becomes #1 due to Nitro, which I believe beat RAW a majority of the time in its first few months before breaking away with the nWo angle; ratings are in the 2s and both companies stay in close range (ratings wise) of each other. However, the business only sees a slight boom, nothing like the nWo & "Attitude" era.

ECW would HAVE forced both WCW and WWF to take a Harder edge or face losing fans to that company.

It's almost impossible to ponder what would had happened if NWO never existed...

I still think Hogan would been a Heel turn around that time...Nash and Hall would had just been a Tag Team until they split and Nash went Main events and Hall laundered in the mid-cards.

Likely A Heel Hogan would had started his Group of Disciples likely with Ed Leslie, Bubba Taylor and John Tenta to go against The Horsemen...

Sting would still be WCW's #1 face and stuck into the upper mid-card with The Giant, Luger and Savage. Likely, Crow Sting never existed.

The Cruiserweights would had gotten even MORE time as NWO would not had taken much time up...

WWE still was approaching that "Harder edge" even before NWO...with stuff like Nash's Bad Attitude and Middle Fingers (mis-conception, people think Austin brought it in, It was Nash) and Shawn having a affair with Diana and other stuff.

So WCW would had to do some edgy stuff...as they both would directly steal from ECW...

Instead of 6.0 ratings...The ratings would flacate around 4.6.

Hogan's Heel turn would not set the world on FYRE like NWO did, So his Heel turn doesn't last very long, Turning face after Doing the Blowoff with Flair at Starrcade.

Austin would still become a major force and WWF would had risen from the ashes of Nash and Sid.

While WCW would once again the workrate Company with the Cruisers and Benoit's of the land but were landished for the old guard Main eventers like Sting, Hogan, Luger, Nash Savage, Flair...

WWF would have the hotter angles and the better Main eventers in HBK, Bret, Austin, Owen, Taker, Bulldog, Shamrock and HHH. but a much weaker mid-card. DX likely never existed because there was No NWO to copy off of...which means a Major Cash Cow never existed for WWF.

Business never would reach the heights it did though...

I don't know if Hogan would have pulled the trigger on a heel turn. As it was, he was very leary of turning heel to join the NWO. He then saw they were about to make huge money and he had to jump in. If there was no NWO a heel turn would have failed miserably.
