Guest chirs3 Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 Wow, I guess this really has become my thing... or no one cares what the card is... bah, let me feel special. So, will someone do us the honors?
Guest Downhome Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 I got these from the spoiler thread, and yet, I didn't read ANY spoilers, lol. I took a huge risk, but I got out of there alive... Undertaker vs. Rey Mysterio Brian Kendrick vs. Jamie Noble Chris Benoit vs. A-Train John Cena vs. Eddie Guerrero Big Show vs. Rhyno ...all I know is that some of these matches are the first round for the tourny for the #1 contender to Brock Lesner to face him at Backlash. If any of these are wrong, I'm sorry, but I'm pretty sure this is all of them. I'm ok with this show personally, I can't wait to see it, not only for the matches, but also to see the aftermath of Wrestlemania!
Guest chirs3 Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 Thanks, Downhome! Undertaker vs. Rey Mysterio - Uh... ok? Brian Kendrick vs. Jamie Noble - Sure, why not. Kendrick's growing on me. Chris Benoit vs. A-Train - Meh. John Cena vs. Eddie Guerrero - Sounds good. Big Show vs. Rhyno - Meh, only a little less of a meh than Benoit/A-train. Two should-be-good matches, and one that will at least be, uh... "interesting". Good enough for me.
Guest Downhome Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 As for Hogan/Vince, I bet one of a few things will happen... 1) They'll never mention Piper again, and will not really focus on Hogan/Vince anymore. 2) Shane will somehow get controll of WWE since Vince lost to Hogan. 3) Vince will get revenge on Hogan by means of sending him home with pay, thus getting what he wanted anyhow even though he lost at Wrestlemania, that being, Hogan gone from WWE, and once the contract is up, he'll be "retired". 4) They have another match, for some reason. ...I really don't see anything else that they COULD do.
LaParkaYourCar Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 Taker/Rey is a tournament match, but still it's poorly matched up.
Guest bravesfan Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 Funaki & Tajiri vs. Team Angle is also on the card. There are four matches on Smackdown that will decide the No. 1 contender for Lesnar's title at Backlash; here are the brackets, as announced on Smackdown: Top Bracket Undertaker vs. Rey Mysterio John Cena vs. Eddie Guerrero Bottom Bracket Chris Benoit vs. A-Train Big Show vs. Rhyno Not to spoil anything, but there will be two surprises on Thursday's show that ALL smarks will never expect.
Guest Space_Cowboy Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 The card looks like it could be good, i just hope Taker doesn't squash Rey too badly.
Guest El Satanico Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 Undertaker vs. Rey Mysterio: I really hope Rey pulls the "unbelievable upset", but I'll be happy if Rey is at least allowed to look good. I can see Mattitude costing Rey the win. Brian Kendrick vs. Jamie Noble: I like both guys and this should be a good match. Chris Benoit vs. A-Train: It's Benoit...enough said John Cena vs. Eddie Guerrero: Should be entertaining Big Show vs. Rhyno: Big Show isn't a good opponent for Rhyno. Hopefully Rhyno makes quick work of Big Show
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 Brian Kendrick vs. Jamie Noble - Give this match at least 5 minutes, and I'll be happy. Give it 10 (I'm dreaming, I know) and it'll likely be match of the night.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted April 2, 2003 Report Posted April 2, 2003 Undertaker vs. Rey Mysterio ...UGH! Brian Kendrick vs. Jamie Noble...no arguments here Chris Benoit vs. A-Train...Still won't get Albert over. John Cena vs. Eddie Guerrero...I could really get into this one. Looks good. Big Show vs. Rhyno...What a way to waste Rhyno. And another week of hiding how bad Nathan Jones really is...at least there's no Rikishi.
