Goldberg's Debut

Recommended Posts

Guest Choken One

I wanna say this...I hope Goldberg does work...I felt for once in a long time that a lot of people that don't even watch wrestling anymore were into again...Hell, My father called me today and said "Hey, Is Goldberg Back?" I said "Yeah" He went "Cool, Maybe I will watch it next week then" I was stunned...My old man hasn't watched WWE TV since Early 1999...He says "I just got tired of it". Now...He for the first time said "I might watch it again".

My pops does not have the Nielson's box so WWE could care less, But it meant something to me.

However, let me add this...Or Did Goldberg look different? Was his goatee red or something?

Say what you will, wish for it to fail, but I don't see how you could. I don't see why you wouldn't at least want it to be as great as it can be, in your eyes. I don't see how any of you could WANT shit to happen.

You complain when it's shitty, and then you WISH for it to be shitty. Make up your minds.

I want it to be better, but I also know that for it to get better something drastic HAS to happen since Vince is so stubborn.

It almost has to get worse before it can get better.

So you really think that if Goldberg FAILS it will end up helping anything? It isn't like a magical thing would happen and he'd then push Jericho, Benoit, and Booker T to the moon. I just don't understand why people can't wait this angle out, and wait to see if it ends up being a sucess or a failure, before judging it.

If anyone wants this to fail, for WWE to suck even more, than I see no way that you REALLY want this to do good. Hell, I remember some people saying that they wished Hogan would totally bomb then be fired, that HBK would bomb and be fired, and everything like that. You guys always seem to want things to suck, before they actually do.

I know you've seemingly lost all hope, but don't wish for it to be bad, you are just asking for it.

I guess as weird as it sounds a train wreck is something you can't help but watch.

If it works then I'll be happy, but I'm not going to set myself up for disappointment.

I hope Macho is the next quick fix. Ohhhhh yeah~! I want to see him shoot on Hogan and ramble about the World Wide Web on air.

That would be awesome. Ok, it wouldn't draw anything but I'd shore as hell mark for it. He's about the only nostalgia act they haven't signed, give me him over Diesel, Hogan or Steiner any day.

The Goldberg signing to me signals everything that is wrong with WWE. Their two-mega stars in Rock and Austin are leaving, so instead of making a new one, they open up the chequebook and buy one. The WWE will screw it up however, because pushing Goldberg over the WWE's current crop of stars would have to mean Vince admitting WCW were right, and that is not going to happen.

It will fail sooner or later, becuase as soon as Goldberg is in line to take on someone he is contractually free from jobbing to and he is told for the good of the company to job, he'll feign a arm injury....damn that arm sure did flare up again.... damn smacking the Limo's windshield back in 1999.

Because everytime they bring in the past they fail to learn, and fail to build for the future. When Goldy fails, they bring in the final and biggest signing they have left (assuming Foley doesn't sell out). Whether they learn or not is another story, and if they don't their sunk, but at this point I could care less. Hogan bombed with the title and they didn't figure it out, Michaels didn't draw and they still haven't figured it out. Just gets me more and more down on US wrestling.

The only thing the past is good for is building the future. Vince doesn't seem to see things that way.
