Why is Lewis pursuing Tyson rematch?

I mean come on. Besides the fact that it is Tyson in the ring again. Does ANYONE want to see this again after the TOTAL 1 SIDED SHITFEST we all witnessed last time?? Tyson will no doubt draw, and both will get a nice payday, but read between the lines and to me Lewis is a punk for refusing to fight anyone else. I know he says Klitzcho isn't worthy even though he is the #1 contender, but come on, NOT TYSON AGAIN. I wouldn't mind so much, but it looks like LEwis is fighting SOMEONE June 21st and that means the rematch wouldn't even take place till LATE 2003 if even this year at all, so Lewis vs. ANYONE ELSE GOOD, would be early-mid 2004 AT THE EARLIEST, and that is hoping he doesn't go and retire after kicking the shit out of Tyson again.

I think Lewis knows he can beat Tyson therefore that is the fight he wants. He probably can beat Vitali Klitzcho also, but maybe there are more question marks and a smaller paycheck, why are boxers such pussies nowadays.

It's just like you said. Lewis can fight Tyson, have an easy bout, it's his biggest possible payday, and then he will retire World Champ.

Tyson's still the biggest payday out there. Plus Tyson can't beat him. So he's just looking for one more huge score and then retirement.

Instead of fighting Chris Byrd.

or Klitchsko or even the wet dream of Jones/Lewis...

Wlad Klitchsko lost his last fight to some journeyman heavyweight, effectively fucking over his chances.

I'd like to see Lewis/Jones. Lewis would probably win, but at least its something DIFFERENT. And I'd like to see Tyson/Tua as well.

I'd like to see Jones/Tyson. I don't think that either man's ego would allow for it, though.

Lewis at this point has nothing to prove, so it's all about the Benjamins (Elizabeth IIs?) at this point. Sure, it's arrogance on his part, but (with a few exceptions) he's been able to back it up in the ring.

I thought the lesser Klitchsko is the one who lost...

Wlad Klitztcho lost to the South African guy. He is the smaller of the two, but considered a better "boxer"

Vitali Kliztcho is the #1 contender for one of Lewis's belts and is the bigger of the two, but he is more of just a huge guy that punches. He aint trash but Wlad will be better in a couple of years.

Wlad probably killed his chance of getting a shot at Lewis because after Wlad builds his rep back up Lewis will most likely be done.

Lewis just got taken to court by Vitali since Lewis refused to fight him and the court ruled in Lewis's favor saying he can fight someone else(maybe Tyson) on June 21st, but the winner of that HAS TO FIGHT VITALI NEXT. So, I bet what happens is, if Lewis/Tyson fight on June 21st, then the Vitali fight happens, if they don't then Lewis will forfeit one of his title belts and fight Tyson next anyway.

No one's beating Lewis again. He'll retire with the belts. Vitali Klitschko has size and strength in spades, but Lennox is 10 times the boxer he'll ever be. Wlad just got THUMPED on, so he's out of the picture, Jones is too small to fight a superheavyweight like Lewis, Chris Byrd is the most boring fighter on earth, Tyson's the only choice left.

It's a big payday, but it won't draw for shit this time after the first fight.
