Guest AndrewTS Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 I have Mute on. If Hogan announces his retirement then let me know.
Guest AndrewTS Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 I think they should keep Steve off of TV until he's healed up... I'm not even paying attention to this Hogan/Vince shit. Ditto.
Guest Choken One Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 Exactly..Give Austin at least until Week after Backlash...Why make him look less with Goldberg/Rock going on? If he stays away for a Few weeks...It can Illistratue his depression and fear in so many ways...
LaParkaYourCar Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 Well that was pointless. Ugh.........this is the final segment of the show isn't it?
Guest papacita Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 That angle didn't work last time they tried it...
Guest AndrewTS Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 I thought of something that would make a hell of a lot of sense. Don't most WWE guys have a "no compete" clause that prevents them from showing up in another fed until 30, 90 days or so? Maybe state that Austin has one of those, and can't appear on SD if he was signed for X number of days. Give him that time to heal up.
Guest Choken One Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 DON'T MENTION HIM AT ALL! It will make the return all the more special... Let the fans believe that he IS retired and then when he returns...He should have grown the Goatee out...Wearing NO Stone Cold Merch...
Guest papacita Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 I would die if Vince kidnapped his son.
LaParkaYourCar Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 Geez bad acting runs in Hogan's family.
Guest HartFan86 Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 What a weird ending to SD. I wonder how long Hogan is gone

Guest papacita Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 Now...if Vince is PAYING HOGAN TO DO NOTHING, exactly how does he win?
Guest HartFan86 Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 I would die if Vince kidnapped his son. WHERE TO....NICK AND JIMMY? *Nick and Jimmy scream like little girls*
Guest AndrewTS Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 What a weird ending to SD. I wonder how long Hogan is gone The safe answer is "not long enough."

No...Have it that he seriously contemplates Retirement...waits a few weeks...goes through depression (why Grown out Goatee) and Have him look desperate knocking on Stephanie's door...
Guest AndrewTS Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 I would die if Vince kidnapped his son. WHERE TO....NICK AND JIMMY? *Nick and Jimmy scream like little girls* My favorite Taker moment ever.

I guess that works, too.
Guest creativename Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 Next week's tourney matches should be interesting. If Cena beats Taker I'll be VERY surprised. Why would you be suprised, given the build-up for Cena vs. Brock? It appears clear that FBI will interfere, costing Taker the match (but only after Taker has squashed Cena, making it clear the kid isn't in his league). I would die if Vince kidnapped his son. You know, for a second there, that's exactly what I thought was going on. The whole Vince-Hogan segment sucked beyond belief. Just boring, awful tripe. Vince's acting was horrendous. This was a very good SmackDown!, until the last 10 minutes killed the show. BTW, Line of the Night: Tazz (after Cole says that the winners of the 1st round of the tourney will face each other in the 2nd round): "Nothing gets by you Cole!"
Guest Choken One Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 Quick Question...Are Tazz and Cole really good friends? At first they seemed like they never talked to each other and now they are in sync like Ventura/Ross or Early King/J.R
Guest papacita Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 Quick Question...Are Tazz and Cole really good friends? At first they seemed like they never talked to each other and now they are in sync like Ventura/Ross or Early King/J.R Yeah, Cole said in Raw Magazine that they got tight from hosting Heat together.
Guest AndrewTS Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 Why would you be suprised, given the build-up for Cena vs. Brock? It's Undertaker. A punch with the chain, ref bump, run in by the FBI, missed move by Jones that hits Taker, AND a DVD would be at least what I'd think it would take for Taker to job to Cena.
Guest El Satanico Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 I mean they could use the explanation for after the fact. No...Have it that he seriously contemplates Retirement...waits a few weeks...goes through depression (why Grown out Goatee) and Have him look desperate knocking on Stephanie's door... Goatee or overgrown goatee = evil twin It's not Steve Austin at all... It's Stefan Austin his evil twin!
cawthon777 Posted April 4, 2003 Report Posted April 4, 2003 And now, from the optimist's point of view: I thought that was a very solid show. Seemed like everyone put on their working boots and even Albert / Benoit had an element of suspense, considering how they're pushing Albert down our throats every week. Noble / Kendrick rocked for how short it was. They could easily work a PPV match together. Taker / Mysterio was fun. Benoit / Albert was stiff. Putting Cena in the ring with Eddie was a great way to put Cena over (and the match was much better than I anticipated from Cena). The tag title match did a good job of further establishing the champs as unbeatable while at the same time giving much-deserved TV time to Tajiri and Funaki. Big Show / Rhyno could have had more to it than the lame DQ ending. The only thing I had a problem with was Sable. She's still annoying as hell on the mic.
