Guest swan Report post Posted March 22, 2002 Any match involving Pete Doherty - The Duke of Dorchester!!! #### yeah, that toothless jackass was on Primetime all the time. One of my favorite matches occured on either Wrestling Challenge or Superstars. Macho Man vs. Billy Jack Haynes. I remember Billy Jack got DQ cause he had Macho in the full nelson and knocked the ref over when he started to swing Macho's bitch ass all over the place. This was during macho's last run with the IC belt if I remember right.
Guest Report post Posted March 22, 2002 One of my favorite matches in recent memory was when Tazz challenged Triple H to a battle of champions after he had won the ECW title after being loaned to the company to fill a vacant spot. The match was killer and it was the first time that I ever recall the WWF utilizing Tazz in a proper role.
Guest dreamer420 Report post Posted March 22, 2002 That was a good match. I think it ended with Tommy Dreamer running in and accidently hitting Tazz with a chair giving HHH the win and setting up Tazz/Dreamer at Cyberslam 1999.

Guest Annoyed Grunt Report post Posted March 23, 2002 Nobody ever mentions the Rock/Mankind ladder match from Feb 15, 1999. It was a fine brawl that incorporated psychology from their match the night before. In the end The Big Show chokeslammed Foley off the top of the ladder, leading to Rock winning the title. Guest the BURNHAM Report post Posted March 23, 2002 Angle vs. Benoit cage match...don't know if it was mentioned And a personal mark out moment the return foley match from the pink slip on a pole when he metamophisized into cactus jack...
Guest evenflowDDT Report post Posted March 23, 2002 It's been mentioned before several times on this thread, but the Angle/Benoit RAW cage match from last year (I think it was around King of the Ring) was really good. I seem to always remember it as a MOTY candidate, and in the same calibre as the good matches in pre-InVasion 2001 (of which there were actually quite a few - or maybe since that was when I started watching wrestling I just don't know any better since most since then has been crap). Another great one that's been mentioned already is Storm vs. RVD from a couple weeks ago, on Sunday Night Heat and RAW. One that hasn't, that I doubt anyone would agree with, was sometime late last year on Metal, of all places, it was Hardcore Holly vs. some jobber, but they were given 4-5 minutes and it was the best match I saw that week. Guest Report post Posted March 23, 2002 My personal favorite was Benoit vs. Angle cage match last year A moonsault AND the diving headbutt of the top of the cage, BOTH bumps were SICK!
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted March 23, 2002 I just heard tonight that Kurt injured his knee on that moonsault and he has been putting of surgery. As i said in that thread, now is when he should so he can escape midcard ####.
Guest Report post Posted March 23, 2002 Can someone please tell me when Shawn and Bret tagged and who was it against? This intrigues me somewhat...
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted March 23, 2002 About the Bret/Shawn tag match...I mentioned it earlier and they fought Men on a Mission I think. I am not sure of this however. This was about the time when Mabel was getting the ALL TIME PUSH FROM #### against Diesel before Summerslam 95. Will someone please tell me why that Benoit/Eddie match is so good? If it is the one I am thinking of they missed a bunch of spots and it was a DQ or something. I have seen that Michaels/Jannetty match and it really isn't *****. It is a nice ***1/2 match and certainly a good TV match but the fact that it won MOTY in 93 shows how crap that year was. No one has mentioned something obvious: Bulldog vs. Owen, European finals. It was on Raw and the thing that sucks is that I didn't see it initially. I caught most of it on the Saturday morning show. It ruled.
