My thoughts:

Low Ki: very overrated.  A whiter, less charismatic version of Tajiri.  Hits way too hard with his concussion-inducing unprotected kicks.

Trent Acid: not quite "the best jr in the world" like CZW touts him, but not bad.  A smooth worker with better-than-average punches and good highspots.

A.J. Styles: easily the best that I've seen on this list.  An incredible athlete, he's got all the moves, and also has the pyschology and the selling to back it up.  Just waiting for the Big Time to put a contract in front of him.

Christopher Daniels: actually underrated these days.  Not quite a high-flyer per se, more of a mat technician.  Probably invented half of Nova and Kanyon's "original" moves.  #### shame about his hair loss, as he looks horrible bald.

Donovan Morgan: haven't seen him.

Scoot Andrews: ditto.

American Dragon: very good in the few matches I've seen him in, tight work and nice highspots.  Haven't seen enough of him to judge properly though.

Other...List em: I'd also put Red (best... highspots... ever.) and Jason Cross (does moves that aren't physically possible) on the list.

I don't get much exposure to the Indies but from what I saw during the WWA ppv, AJ Styles outshined everyone in the match. I enjoyed LowKi too. When Shawn Micheals had his wrestling promotion here in San Antonio I was exposed to American Dragon and Spanky but I still voted for Styles.

AJ Styles for what he has done in NWA Wildside with David Young making him look good in their 2 matches.

American Dragon is the best I have seen live at a show, too bad he lost his mask.  How can you list American Dragon with listing Spanky?  Is Shooter Shultz still working the indy scene or was Texas Wrestling Alliance his last time in the ring?

Is Pro Championship Wrestling from Arlington Texas still in business?  If so I would like to nominate Zane Morris and Mike Douglas.  Zane does a great comedian act and Mike is a good mat worker.

Scoot Andrews is not good. His stuff with Trent Acid & Chris Daniels at the Super 8 2000 was his best stuff ever, but ever since then, he's just sucked.

As for Shooter Schultz, I heard that he's quit the business.

Martini is the man...I haven't seen him wrestle since 99 though, but he's no Steve Nixon.

I don't understand why Homicide isn't up on the poll... He is much better then a majority of the aforementioned guys, but unfortunately his hardcore days often make him stereotypical hardcore wrestler to some critics. He is definitely the best right now, pound for pound, in the indies. Technical, strong style, fast paced... Hands down the best (And yes... He can high fly... He just tends to rely on his technical ability more)....

*cough* Jr Heavyweight *cough*

If I was going to throw fat boys who did high flying stuff on the list I would have added Ruckus.

Homicide is a hell of a worker...but he's a couple pounds too heavy for the list.

Youth... Homicide is 212 lbs.. That's still a cruiser, buddy. I do get your point though. Next time... Be more accurate and name your poll "Best high flyer in the indies"... That's more suiting..

Ummm.. Dude... The biggest high flying move Homicide does is a diving headbutt. I've never seen him be anything near a high flyer. And secondly, I don't mean to be a douche bag, but last time I checked, one of the men you listed on the poll, Scoot Andrews, is heavier then Homicide. :-D

AJ Styles is fuckin awesome.  If WWF ever gets a cruiser division going they would be total idiots not to sign him.

Is the Homicide your talking about the one who teams with Rainman in NWA Wildside?  Blackout is the team name.  If so, he isn't a cruiser at all.  Still good though.

Low Ki reminds me of Vanderli Silva from Pride.  I'm supprised Inoki hasn't picked him up for his shitty Wrestling/Shooting matches he seems to love.  I've only seen a few of his matches.  They were okay.

American Dragon is smooth.  His three way match with Daniels and Xavier was really cool.

AJ Styles really sucked in the WWA 6-Man Match. Within *seconds* he broke the nose of Tony Mamaluke. Then to complete this excellent show he fucked up a shooting star press to floor and sprained his ankle. Jesus, with Rick Steiner, Styles and Sabu that's a pretty *dangerous* roster ;-)

The Homicide I'm reffering to is the one from the Northeast that wrestles for Ring Of Honor, Impact Championship Wrestling, Jersey All Pro Wrestling, etc.

In majority of the feds he's a tag team wrestler with Boogalu, but he's much better as a singles wrestler. Probably the best pound for pound in the indies. He's the most underrated, no doubt.

SuicidalAfterBash91, you say that AJ Styles is "dangerous"? Let's look at Low Ki then. He throws some stupidly stiff and unprotected kicks and palm strikes. He's damn lucky that he hasn't injured anyone with those yet. Plus, that's basically all that he has. Sure, he does have some armbars and flips, but unless you are the most psychologically sound of workers, you can't build a match around that.

As for AJ's mishaps on the WWA PPV... It looked to me like it was equally Tony and AJ's fault when AJ broke Tony's nose. As for the Shooting Styles Press (aka the springboard shooting star plancha), It was a combination of complete nervousness and mistiming.

Mamaluke himself told me that it was just a mistimed move where he landed wrong that broke his nose, it was nobody's fault.  As for the other, hell, it's a God-damned shooting star press to the concrete floor, of course there's a chance of injury there.

I've really liked what I've seen of Daniels in the few matches I have... And am I correct when I say that he is also Curry Man of Japanese fame? I read somewhere that he was...

Download some Daniels stuff on my ftp, including the WWA 6 Man.

You are correct.  Daniels is Curry Man.  He seemed to be in a stable with CIMA and SUWA from what I saw on the 200 J-Cip tape I have.

The way I saw it, it was a sloppy forearm - but I can't exactly argue with the Mamalukester can I?

Okay, LoKi is pretty damn stiff but at least he breaks people in an entertaining fashion
