Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted April 5, 2003 Report Posted April 5, 2003 Quicker response. How long does it usually take to DL movies off of Kazaa ? I'm DL'ing a copy of "Cradle 2 The Grave" Oh...by the way, I have 56K...
Guest MrRant Posted April 5, 2003 Report Posted April 5, 2003 Probably take until you are done with puberty.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted April 5, 2003 Report Posted April 5, 2003 Serious answer, please. I'm guessing it'll take awhile...
Guest Ravenbomb Posted April 5, 2003 Report Posted April 5, 2003 at least 100 hours if you're lucky. Invest in a cable modem. Fast.
Guest Flyboy Posted April 5, 2003 Report Posted April 5, 2003 Plus, you have to add in the fact the 56k's don't stay online all the time.
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted April 5, 2003 Report Posted April 5, 2003 56k... HAHAHAHAHA I downloaded Shrek with a 56k once. Took 2 weeks, without turning it off. Now, I have a Cable modem, and I just downloaded Phone Booth and Dreamcatcher in 2 hours, alltogether. Then I have 27 other movies on my comp. Thank you cable modem.
Guest Eagan469 Posted April 5, 2003 Report Posted April 5, 2003 I downloaded Old School last night 20 minutes to d/l Part 1, and while I was watching that Part 2 finished Good deal
Guest Ravenbomb Posted April 5, 2003 Report Posted April 5, 2003 469 is lucky. Usually part 2 finishes first for me
Guest IDrinkRatsMilk Posted April 5, 2003 Report Posted April 5, 2003 You guys are crazy. I have 56k (don't tell me to get anything else, that's all that's available where I live), and I've downloaded movies in one day.

Guest El Psycho Diablo Posted April 5, 2003 Report Posted April 5, 2003 Well, you can probably d/l a movie with a crap encode for about 150-200 meg. The decent ones are VCD format, and are around 500+. Usually two or three discs.
Guest eiker_ir Posted April 5, 2003 Report Posted April 5, 2003 DivX movies download at a decent speed on 56Kb just leave it downloading while u sleep and it advances a lot, and in a couple of days you're done
Guest Mole Posted April 5, 2003 Report Posted April 5, 2003 You guys are crazy. I have 56k (don't tell me to get anything else, that's all that's available where I live), and I've downloaded movies in one day. That is because you have better phone lines.
Guest MaxPower27 Posted April 5, 2003 Report Posted April 5, 2003 It runs a bit slow for me, but I deal. I'm getting a cable modem in a few weeks, but until then, it'll take me about 15 minutes to DL songs.
Guest Retro Rob Posted April 5, 2003 Report Posted April 5, 2003 I dl'ed Episode 2 on a 56K. Damned if I remember how long it took. Eitherway, within the next 3 weeks I'll have a cable modem and 100 Gigs to work with.
Guest Vyce Posted April 6, 2003 Report Posted April 6, 2003 56k doesn't take THAT long. As long as you get a steady stream, with at least around 3kb per second, you can download 150 - 200 meg movies in a day, easy. Of course, I have a LAN at school with broadband, and I downloaded Bulletproof Monk yesterday, around 250 megs, in about an hour.

Guest Retro Rob Posted April 6, 2003 Report Posted April 6, 2003 Just want until you reach your download cap and get screwed up your ass. Explain, please.
Guest Karnage Posted April 6, 2003 Report Posted April 6, 2003 Isn't it all handycam shit quality for downloaded movies?
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted April 6, 2003 Report Posted April 6, 2003 Well. On Monday, I shall call my cable company.
Guest Eagan469 Posted April 6, 2003 Report Posted April 6, 2003 Isn't it all handycam shit quality for downloaded movies? movies that are currently in theaters - yes most others are DVD rips
Guest El Satanico Posted April 6, 2003 Report Posted April 6, 2003 Isn't it all handycam shit quality for downloaded movies? movies that are currently in theaters - yes Unless there's a "Screener" disc of it floating around.
Guest Lethargic Posted April 6, 2003 Report Posted April 6, 2003 Some cam jobs look amazingly great, some look amazingly awful. I just downloaded a cam of Phone Booth and you can hardly tell that it's a cam at all. It looks really, really good. It depends on what group you download from. I had a cam job of Spiderman for a few months that looked awesome cause the guys that made it really put work into it to make it look the best it could.
Guest Flyboy Posted April 6, 2003 Report Posted April 6, 2003 Some cam jobs look amazingly great, some look amazingly awful. Lethy is right. When I downloaded Red Dragon awhile back I thought I was watching a ripped DVD since the job was so damn good.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted April 11, 2003 Report Posted April 11, 2003 Help. I finally finished downloading a copy of "Cradle 2 The Grave" (It took 6 F'N days) Now, I can listen to it, but not watch it. What the hell is going on?
Guest razazteca Posted April 11, 2003 Report Posted April 11, 2003 If it has avi extention then it is DIVX, just download the codec either that or you might need the new Windows Media Player.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted April 11, 2003 Report Posted April 11, 2003 My buddy has a cable modem and he was able to get The Hunted and House of 1,000 Corpses both within about 2 hours. I am trying to get Rules of Attraction on my 56k, and it's taking a long goddamn time.
