Guest Downhome Report post Posted April 5, 2003 Good God almighty! If I had the money to spend, I would buy it right now, not for that much, but for something. Sincerely, ...Downhome...
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 5, 2003 Damn. I own enough of the videos to the point where I wouldn't want to buy them all. But that's a lot of stuff
Guest The Hollywood Fashion Plate Report post Posted April 6, 2003 The Wrestling Classic isn't in there, and WM1 wasn't a PPV, so technically he's lying.
Guest Bruiser Chong Report post Posted April 6, 2003 I was strongly considering buying that auction when I saw it last week. The reserve hadn't been met last night, but I guess this buyer bought it. I'll bet they don't pay. I don't think it'd matter if you had a lot of them or not, you could just sell the ones you already have. There's some early ones in there that would go for $30+ each with no problem.
Guest AM The Kid Report post Posted April 6, 2003 I thought about buying it as well. But I'd rather have spent my money on the old real, eagle WWF title belt. Now that would be sweet.
Guest bravesfan Report post Posted April 6, 2003 This auction rose $1,500.00 in the last 24 hours, as I saw it yesterday for $1450.99. I was tempted to buy it, but the reserve was a bit much. It'll be re-posted in a few weeks, after the buyer doesn't fulfill his commitment.
Guest RedJed Report post Posted April 6, 2003 I dont think its worth $3,000, but its rare to find masters of all of those ppvs, but a few problems in checking out the collection. He's missing ALL the IYH ppvs, which sucks. So its not a complete ppv collection really. Most if not all Coliseum Video versions and even WWF/WWE versions of ppvs are chopped. But like someone said, some of the older tapes can easily be worth $40-50 bucks each, I would think a master Coliseum Video Mania 3 would cost a fortune to find. Guest bravesfan Report post Posted April 6, 2003 109 pieces total (78 VHS, 31 DVD)... Even in re-sale value, only the pre-1993 PPV's will fetch a good sum of money, but nowhere near to justify the $3,000 price tag.
Guest tpww7 Report post Posted April 6, 2003 Col Vid Mania 3 is rare? Since when? I always see the Mania CV's for cheap.
Guest Bruiser Chong Report post Posted April 6, 2003 It depends when it comes to eBay. The same tape may go for five bucks and then for $40 for no real reason other than the bidders are the ones deciding the price when they bid. I've had mixed luck when it comes to such matters. Some tapes I would have bet would fetch $30 got maybe half of that. Other times tapes I wouldn't think would get more than $15 got $25. Just last week I sold a master of the Wrestling Classic for $71 with a starting bid of around 8 bucks. It was probably the nicest looking one I've seen but I didn't expect to get more than $35 for it.
