Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted April 7, 2003 Rather than start a new thread about it...anyone know where the quotes from the cover of the King of the Ring 2001 DVD/VHS come from? It is a literary reference of some sort? A friend of mine was wondering...
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted April 7, 2003 Oh, and anyone have any idea why they released those two 98 PPVs on DVD? They really don't seem very significant to me. =/
Guest bravesfan Report post Posted April 7, 2003 Oh, and anyone have any idea why they released those two 98 PPVs on DVD? They really don't seem very significant to me. =/ It was the first PPV(s) with Steve Austin and the Rock going into the show as the World Champion (Unforgiven against Foley and Rock Bottom against Foley, respectively). To add on a few more release dates: Desert Heat (the Diva's release) will come out on 4/15, along with No Way Out 2003. Wrestlemania XIX will be released on 5/27, along with the rumored Rey Mysterio DVD.

WM XIX should be great considering the extras they likely will throw in.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted April 7, 2003 They should 3-disc Mania so they can put an assload of extras on there
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted April 7, 2003 They should 3-disc Mania so they can put an assload of extras on there Sounds good in theory, but considering what WWE thinks the fans want, it probably would have a heavy crap-to-good ratio and 3 discs would run a heavy price tag. Although I'd love to see a Brock/Angle commentary track. Those extra commentaries are a sure-fire cool bonus.

Just put a ton of TV matches and promos leading up to Mania- and the Confidential stuff

Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted April 7, 2003 Wrestlemania XIX extras are announced next week. No word on the 6 extra matches that are announced for the Desert Heat DVD, The Trish/Victoria Chicago Street Fight (MOTN on one of the Raw shows, IMO) was announced for certain, I believe. Edit: For Desert Heat, that is.
Guest bravesfan Report post Posted April 7, 2003 This was what I posted in the thread announcing the DVD extras for Desert Heat... DVD Extras: - Six more bonus matches Ideas of what this could be: --"Chicago Street Fight": Victoria vs. Trish --"Six-Person Tables Match": Y2J/Christian/Victoria vs. Dudleys/Trish. --Jazz/Victoria vs. Trish/Jackie - RAW 03.03.03 --Torrie vs. Dawn Marie - Velocity 02.01.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted April 7, 2003 "Ideas" of what they could be: just the poster's personal expected matches? Or semi-confirmed?
Guest bravesfan Report post Posted April 7, 2003 Those were the ideas that I proposed, actually. All four were very hyped for the show it aired on; two of those mentioned were **1/2 at least; therefore, I considered them as the extra matches.

DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted April 7, 2003 They probably never will transfer Rock/HHH Ironman to DVD due to that logo crap. Although, and I could be wrong, I believe if they only release it in the US they don't have to blur them. You just know one of the extra Desert Heat matches is the one where Trish was thrown off the stage into the mud pool.

And I loved that match...heheh..Trish may in theory be a wrestler and not T&A so much, but she fit so perfectly into that match.
