Good review, cant wait until I get my next batch of ROH shows soon, (All-Star Extravaganza, 1st anny show, scramble madness) Like Nevermortal said, the road to the title show is awesome, as well as crowning a champion. You'll love them.

Solid review JHawk though I thought you overrated Daniels vs Morgan. Everyone's got their perspective on what **** represents and to me that's the lowest end of a MOTYC which I didn't think that match was. *shrugs* to each their own.

Guest What?

Spanky is the freakin Man!!

Listening to his walkman while a pep talk/speech is going on?

Saying no-one pays to see Eddy Guerrero, but pay to see Spanky?!

HE IS AWESOME!!

Awesome job, JHawk

This show isn't my favorite by any means BUT the two great matches made me happy i picked it up.

As for match ratings, one man's trash is another man's treasure (read hogan-rock). we shouldn't worry about how good a good match was. we should worry about how bad a bad match can be.

for both JHawk and Justin... wait until you guys review Scramble Madness and the 1st Anniversary show (besides seeing the 'riot' 3x). those are some blowaway show. imho.

My friends went to the anniversary show and said it was awesome.

I'm hoping they put Final Battle on DVD soon

I've seen everything up to Glory by Honor, and I was at Revenge for the Prophecy (get to releasing that one, dammit), and all I can say is that this promotion is frickin' awesome!

Shill mode off.

Final Battle is going to be out on VHS for next Saturday's show. It may even be out now. They are just releasing Glory by Honor (October) on DVD so it is going to be a while for the Final battle DVD.

The Aniversary show is really good. Good stuff from top to bottom. 'All Star Extravaganza' is still my favorite. That's one show that I could watch from top to bottom. Not sure if I can say that for any other show (maybe the Aniversary show).

the only ROH show so far that i would say "don't waste your money on is "unscripted". not a bad show but not worth $20. "the night of the butcher" doesn't look great either but i haven't sat through the whole thing yet.

Night of the Butcher is worth every PENNY just for the Danielson/London match which is:

a- a MOTYC

b- London's best match to date (though should be surpassed this Saturday with the rematch)

c- the BEST ROH match of the year/companies history.

Yea, that is a good show. The Joe/Homicide match is real good, the opening tag is one of the better tag matches ROH has had, and the scramble is def. the best one they've had. I don't think Scramble Maddness is one of their top 2 shows, but it does have some pretty good matches on it. I think its better then 'Road to the Title' which consistently gets pimped has ROH's best show. Road to the Title is good, but I don't see how its their best one.

Unscripted is pretty underwhelming.

Ive seen all ROH up to Night of The Butcher and I must say there is not one tape that was not worth the money. Scramble Madness was good overall as it had Joe vs. Homicide, Lopez vs. Xavier, Daniels vs. AJ, the Scramble match, and Briscoe and Red vs. Briscoe and Daniels. The main event was pretty good but for the most part it was just both guys showing off submission holds...no flow really too it but thats what I expected really. Night of the Butcher was great for the tourny all the way through. Collyer v. Danielson was good, Money v. London was good, and Danielson vs. London was awesome. I also enjoyed the Punk vs. Cabana match but it was no where near their best outing. The main event was probably the worst main event in ROH history but I guess if you are an Abby mark you will like it somewhat. Its just really Abby stabing Loc in the head with a fork.

By the way...nice review

ok, cooke and cv say 'night of the butcher' is worth the cash. i received the last 6 ROH releases friday afternoon and could only watch so much before i tuned out that last tape saturday afternoon (not to mention, my copy was subpar). on paper, it def. did not hold the appeal that the other shows had. but if you guys say it is worth it, i am always willing to give it the benefit of the doubt.
